California State Parks and the Off-Highway Motor
Vehicle Recreation Commission invite you to an
important upcoming public meeting to help outline
and recommend priorities for the future of
California's off-highway recreation program. The
meeting will also include information regarding
the grant process and discuss trends likely to
affect off-highway programs in the future.

The public meeting will be held from 9:30 a.m.
until 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2004, at
the Clarion Hotel, 700 - 16th Street, Sacramento,
CA 95814, Tel. (916) 444-8000. If you need
reasonable accommodation due to a disability,
please contact Laurie Taylor at (916) 324-5801.

Through its Stakeholders Roundtable and other
forums, California State Parks and its
Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division
have demonstrated that many positive
accomplishments can be achieved through
meaningful and open dialogue.

To ensure an adequate number of handouts are
available, your RSVP is requested. Please reply

Regulations
Grants and Regulations

On Friday, April 7, the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division begins the 2006 Regulations Process. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking has been posted in the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) Notice Register, which begins the official 45-day comment period. The written comment period will expire on May 22, 2006.

Please Note:
The Division has extended the deadline to receive comments on the proposed 2006 Regulations which will govern the Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00pm on June 2, 2006.

Until the 2006 Regulations are adopted, the Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program will be operating under the approved 2006 Emergency Regulations posted below.

Attached please find:

1. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. This document provides the procedures for the official written comment period and the two public hearings that will be conducted at the end of the 45-day comment period.

• Any interested person may submit written comments to the OHMVR Division. (check the actual notice)
• Upon the conclusion of the written comment period, there will be two public hearings on the proposed rulemaking. Information regarding location and time for the hearings follows below.

Did I miss something here? This post was from 2004 and the meeting dates (along with the Division Chief whom I believe has left the Division) are in 2004. ifly.gif
