Ok, so I didn't beat Tim Farr, Dana Creech or some of the other big name guys. All that matters is I had THE BEST time ever AND still did pretty darn good, regardless of what others might try to tell me. I think my stock Z400 held up pretty good considering the bikes I was up against. And although most prbly don't care, here's how it turned out for me.
1st Qualifier - I got 2nd out of 5, finishing behind Dana Creech.
1st Heat - I got 5th out of 10, finishing behind Tim Farr, Creech and 2 others.
Main - I got 11th out of 20, finishing behind, well, 10 faster people.
O.E.M Race - I got 2nd behind Tim Farr. Schell couldn't race because of the crash on the 1st start. Ellis dropped out with mechanical problems. Creech dropped out (I'm assuming) with mechanical problems after a few laps. - Call it last, call it 2nd. It doesn't bother me. It was awesome to be there racing with those guys on my Z400 that I ride in the dunes and also ride on the streets in Phx (ya, it's street legal there).
Mike330R - I know Creech, Ellis & Schell dropped out of the OEM race with their reasons but if you looked at the posting board after the race, it read, "Farr, Pacheco, Creech, Ellis, Schell". So did I get last place? Doesn't matter. It was so awesome to be there and to see my name up on that board.
Banshee350 - Nah, no trophy. But I did win 150 smackers.
YFZ450 - A level ameatures? Sure, whatever. Your probably right. But hey, it's a heck of a lot of fun. You need to try it. If you ride a YFZ450 you DEFINITELY have the bike of choice. Heck, did you see the guy on the Banshee? He got smoked but I'll bet you anything he had a great time too! Farr is a great rider but as you said, he had his hands full in Anaheim when John Natalie & Doug Gust both passed him. Gust is the man! Oh ya, he rides a Z400 too.

Thanks Lwrider! The National is up at Glen Helen next weekend. It's still up in the air if I'll be able to make it. It's all up to the boss. (can you talk to your sister about it for me?) Making a copy of the check AND cashin' it! Best of both worlds!
Oh ya, even though I probably only had a handfull of people out of the 55,000 that were there, thanks for going. It was a great show from where I was sitting.
