I have a set in my banshee. I did the top end at the end of last season. I only have 3 rides on it. So far I've been happy with them. I think I only paid 150 for the pair but, that is at a small local shop where I get all my stuff.

I HAD MR. TOOMEY DO MY SHEE MOTOR WHEN HE HAD A SHOP HERE IN SACTO. AND HE REFERED TO THEM AS SEZZCO AND TOLD ME HE ONLY USED YAMAHA PISTONS IN HIS RODE RACE BIKES. HE SAID THEY ALSO YAMAHA MAKES THE ODD SIZE OVER BORES SO YOU CAN GET THAT MANY MORE RUNS WITHOUT HAVING TO GET NEW CYLS. IF YOU ONLY NEED 10 OVER YOU CAN DO THAT WITH YAMAHA PISTONS BUT WOULD HAVE TO GO TO 20 OVER WITH WISECO. THATS MY 2 CENTS

DO NOT GO WISECO!!! Go with the JE pistons, even though they are the same company now (sort of) JE, Wiseco, carrillo rods etc..all owned by dover corporation. the JE pistons are a lot better, they have better machining, tooling, etc...if you need customs they can make them for you, bore, cc's, dome heights etc..unfortunately you'll have to order 4 for special orders.. Je's new catalog is coming out next week, they are offering more shelf item pistons now so keep an eye out..

I don't know about anyone else's experiences with wiseco but I have a couple of seasons on mine and have had NO problems with the piston or rings. In fact I had the whole top end apart recently and it still looked new......damn I do great work!

Persionally, I will not use wiseco. I would go with the stock or pro-X piston.

I've been using Weisco pistons for over 15 years now and not had a problem with them. You do need to remember to warm your engine up a bit longer with them so they will "fit" your cylinder better.
I have also seen a Weisco stand up to high compression better than ProX. My friends R had over 230lbs compression and cracked a ProX in one day; he switched to a Weisco and is still running it.
So, like a lot of things, it's a matter of opinion and people's experiences.
