I bought the chassis, suspension, and misc parts from Pgrin.
Heres whats going on so far :
LS2 shortblock from the great guys at CBM, bought ported heads online, custom cam to my specs, 90mmFRE throttle body on a Pro Products aluminum intake, and a Gibson crossflow muffler setup.
Mendeola S5 5 speed sequentil trans with Geardash purchased from donparscale. 934 cv's and Kartek axles.
ProAm brakes front(2" spindle) and rear(midboard microstub)
ProAm rack.
Aluminum body by Jones Fabrication - side panels, dash, front firewall, hood, visor roof, LED roof wing, and rear beauty panels, and hood. Console in the future.
PRP Drifter seats.
Fox coilovers and bypasses at each corner.
33" Blaster paddles.
Douglas beadlocks front and rear, with 8.80 razors in front I got from CuttingEdge.
Lots of extra fab work by Jones Fabrication. Diamond the roof, windshield bars, extra support between the torsion housing and the rear cage, new rear bumper/cage for more gound clearance as well as removable for ease of engine/trans maintenance, completely plate the steering bulkhead, new seat brackets and other misc tabbing, and gusset the trailing arm tabs.

Here are some pics I got a couple days ago:

Legit Duner
Looking very nice thus far!!!
I will be watching! thumb.gif

Bring the rear lower cage up as close to the oil pan as possible to prevent the tail from dragging in the dunes. Or you could gear the trans to run 35's for extra clearance.

Thats what we are doing. The rear cage is cut off now. Just gotta get my engine down to Jones to get in the car to make the cage and motor mounts, and get the clearance behind the motor for the muffler.

thats lookin good Phil!! thumb.gif

Tell tough guy Shaun Jones that I recommend hanging the motor.

No thanks. Hanging the motor in these cars is a bandaid for some missing tubing in the rear. We fixed that.
Deficit Spending
He doesn't like hanging the motors. I asked him about that for the little car he has for sale, but he doesn't recommend it. That is looking very nice Phil. I'm still trying to get the little one for me, but not having too much luck.
TurboLark
The red are the tubes added in the rear, and the blue is where a tube will be added . the blue tube will tie in right next to the motor mount to transfer any loads up. the red tube along the side ties the tortion housing in to the rear cage adding more motor mount support. the other red ties the center of the tortion to the rest of the car.

I didnt have any problems after I gusseted the trans mount and had the mount beefed up.

Good to see some progress.

3MSengineering
Since you did not pick up on it...I was kidding about hanging the motor. The last time I mentioned that to Shaun his blood pressure went up with how much he disagreed. So anyway...just a joke.
Kevin
was there the other day, didnt know that was your car. looked good so far

No pics yet because it isnt done yet. It will be similar to what he has on his, with just a bit different design to make room for my exhaust setup.

Not yet. Only have gotten the front arms/spindles on. I hate colds. Should be getting the seats early next week, so progress will be made on the inside(shifter, wheel, console, etc).

The tank has a notch in it for the trans. The car was already setup for the S4/5 trans, soit was there when I got it from Pgrin.

Yes, Bruce and Chris at CBM have been very helpful.
The shortblock is an LS2, with forged pistons and h-beam rods, build by CBM.
The cam I spec'd out myself for a big midrange punch. I like cams with a little less duration and more lift. This one comes in just over .600" lift.
The heads are 5.3L CNC ported Stage 2.5 I picked up used for a deal of an LS1 board.
Intake is a Pro Products aluminum that I went into and cleaned up the casting marks, and generally smoothed out. I opened it up for the 90mm FRE throttle body.
Gibson exhaust that i fitted up myself to the whatever headers they are.
Using a Delphi setup from CBM.
No idea on power, will find out once it is together and at CBM for tuning.
