Made some Rice a la marinera with fried asparagus today. Make some white rice, chop up some bacon cook it, remove some of the grease and put it in a separate skillet. Chop up some onion, green pepper and cilantro, get some shrimp and cut them in half. Dump the veggies ans shrimp in with the bacon, stir it up until the shrimp cooks. Then add the rice, garlic salt, black pepper and some butter. Mix it up good. On the separate skillet with the bacon grease add some butter then the asparagus. Add some garlic salt and fry them. This could also go with a fillet of fish but wanted to try it like this first. Pics arent that good took them with my cell phone, but the food was good.

I bow down to Scotty for first sharing the Bacon Explosion with me. I've made many a peep happy with that glorious thing.
