Just curious how everyone loads their trailers with cargo. I am looking at purchasing a WW Cr3905 and will be caring a buggy and quad. Please post pictures if you have them. Thanks.
Lunatic Fringe
I usually just drive my stuff in.
No pics of me doing it though. yay.gif
smknf250
haha thanks for the sense of humor....what I was looking for was buggy first or quad first, buggy in backwards or straight in??? That type of stuff...obviously best to keep the weight over the axles just trying to see what everyone else does.

LE3905 Back Buggy in WITH A WINCH, Quad in last
surf and dune
I think you'll find theres an obvious answer once you try to load it. My last car would only go in backwards, which is good for weight distribution but it was a pain in the butt, cause it had to be lined up perfect and I had a 2d. My new car only fits straight in. I have to change all 4 tires but its way easy after that. Like others will tell you, try to get the weight forward of the axles otherwise the trailer gets a bit squirly.
saychz316
i dont have a buggy, but here is my loading order.

i have a ww cr3905

my raptor 700 and my ktm go in first, side by side.
then my kids 2-50 go in, sideways bedhind the raptor and ktm.
then i load my wifes quad on one side. the ice chests go on the other side.
good load balance, and weight distribution. its a fifth wheel, so it tows well regardless.

once i get a buggy, i will have to back it in, so the engine cage sits in the kitchen, and get the car back far enough to get wifes quad, and kids bikes behind it.
socaldmax
I have an SLC3905.

I have a golf cart that is about the length/width of a Rhino, and a 16' sand rail. I drive the golf cart into the kitchen (with mats under the tires to protect the linoleum from staining) then drive the rail straight in behind it. This gives me about 2" in front of the golf cart, 2" behind the golf cart and 2" behind the rail.

Even though my V8 engine is in the rear of the trailer, because of all of the crap I mounted in the front, (4 batteries, compressor, inverter, etc etc) and it's a 5er, it tows like a freight train. It's extremely stable in fairly high winds or when other rigs pass.
WaPaWeKkA
I don't haul a sand rail but I pull my Teryx up to the edge of the carpet and then I pull my 450 up right behind the Teryx which allows plenty of room on either side for the ice chests, smudge pot, etc. LE3505. Tows fine.

Thanks guys, I figured with a 5th wheel it will tow fine either way. I am hoping to be able to drive the buggy straight in and then quad after that. We will see. I might have to back the buggy into the kitchen to be able to fit the quad in the rear but if I back it in I will have to change the rear tires. If I drive it straight in I won't have to change them. I guess I will just get the trailer first then worry about it.

I run the 50 in the kitchen along with the ice chest and WW chairs. Wench the buggy in backwards (2200lb car). Then run the Raptor 700 and a 90 right behind the car. The carpet, paddles go underneath the car. I place the jack under the 700 and secure it with a bungie or tie down. My TH is a 09 WW 3905 +2ft. Man the 2 extra feet makes things alot easier.

Best practice is to put the car weight (big portion of the payload) over the wheel wells. I have some pics somewhere - Ill post them after I dig them up.

I have an SLC 3705 and I put the quad in the kitchen and then drive the car in. Leaves me about 4" between the door and the car. No problems towing this way, the quad weighs about as much as the engine in the car. Your water tanks are also in front of the axles so there isn't much to worry about pulling the car in.
ElCaminoManT
rampage 38ft

when im fully loaded, i put the predator and the atc90 in the front by the kitchen and the baja bug at the rear. the trailer actually tows 10 times better when fully loaded like described than when i just have the pred and 90 in the back.
Tundy
Here is my set up during the initial "fit test". I doesn't show the 50 in the kitchen though. When it is in the kitchen, It pushes my car to the back about 6-8 inches.

Just the buggie.

Buggie - as you can see, I have to back in since the front end is pretty wide.

This photo shows the amount of clearance I have between the rear wing / headers and the counter top of the TH.

Rear wheel (with skinnies) fit perfectly between the wheel wells.

Above is a shot with the 700 and 90. As you can see, I have a few inches to spare. With the 50 and other crap in the kitchen, the rear wheel of these quads butt up against the rear door.

Hope this helps.
smknf250
Thanks guys....it gave me some good ideas.
Screamin Ian
step one: flip rear tires on YFZ to make it more narrow.
step two: load YFZ in backwards into kitchen and push it up to cab for kitchen sink
step three: change all 4 tires on buggy
step four: drive buggy straight in
step five: front tires of buggy under buggy, rear behind, jack inbetween.
step six: make sure back door clears wing trunk.

I only have about an inch between the YFZ and the buggy, and 2 inches between the wing trunk and back door. AND I have a 38' 5er with 19' to the first cabinet.

YFZ is about 7' long, buggy is about 17' long (Revenge Predator).

Good luck.
lincster
Kids quads go in first, right up to the kitchen but still on the cargo floor.
Buggy goes in forward behind the quads.
LE3905 Warrior.
5th wheel doesn't care where stuff is loaded.
I have 3400lbs of pin weight when I am fully loaded.
With the dually, the whole thing tows rock solid, wind, semis etc.... doesn't matter.
Screamin Ian
^^^^yup, no matter what I have in the 5er, loaded, unloaded, etc. seems like it always pulls the same, straight and true. My tow rig is also an '08 F450 rated to tow 24K lbs.
Tundy
With how wide my front end stands, I'd be driving over the wheel wells - not to mention, I wouldn't be able to pull her deep into the kitchen any other way. My advise, grab your trailer and try different things. I've been where your at a few months ago (hoping and praying it will all work out). Members such as the ones that have posted here helped me get it in right. Every situtation is different so try different loading set ups beer.gif
ElCaminoManT
my trailer just chucks badly in general, but it settles down alot with more weight in it
250rah
ww cr3705 iI have a rhino a predator 90,kawi 50, 250 r anad a z 400 ..Kawi in the kitchen rhino stand up one of the big quads wtih the 90 then the other big quad beside them still have the swivel rocker in the kitchen as well and room for the cooler and tool box you will figure out your oun plan with trial and error, if you go too far in the kitchen make sure to protect the cabinet and the floors with an olf rug or carpet
MeterTech
I use to have a WW 5er LE 3505
Carried my LT Rail (change the rears and had to back it in)
2 kids quads (backed in and then stand them up on their rears)
Plus all the extra's (table, chairs, gear bags, floor jack, paddles etc.)
Here is what it looked like when I was ready to close the door.......... wacko.gif

Who needs a trailer???
gmmmcamp
Two quads (250r and Blaster) sideways up on the back wheels in the kitchen, 450r motorcycle sideways up against the quads and the sandrail last. I am packed to the gills and don't have room for anything else. Kind of sucks because I can't really get into the trailer with all the stuff in there, I send my kid in.

It's not a 5th but a WW fs30 and still have room for a small quad in the kitchen.

Wow thats the trailer I currently have and never thought to load it like that....what is holding the front of the buggy up? What do you tow with?

I made an A frame to support the front, I tie the back down and use a jack to lift the front and slide the A frame in then set it down on it and tie it off. I am looking at the air bag type jacks to use seems like it would be alot less work. I tow with an F 250 with the 7.3, I had to make this trailer work as a bigger one was not in the budget.

Mrs. Bear Down
Our set up LE3905

1st Captains chairs on Master Bed

2nd 400EX standing up in the kitchen between cabinet & Fridge (we remove the stairs during transport)

3rd RZR widened and longer than stock

4th Buggy we have about 2-3" between each toy so tieing down properly is a MUST... there's a pic of it somewhere on these boards...

I'll see if I can find it... laughing.gif

Where there's a will there's a way...

However just as others said... fully loaded or empty all tows the same!!

WaPaWeKkA
Soon, I've got to figure out how to put a 450, Teryx and a buggy in a LE3505. That should be fun.

Can you post a pic of the A frame support without the quads in there.. too hard to see it in the pics. And what kind of jack are you using to get the front end up that high?

I don't have a pic with out the quads in it. It's raining here now if it lets up I'll get some pics. I used a 2 ton floor jack raised it all the way up slid A frame under the front then used a block of wood on the jack to raise the remainder of the way. Pain in the arse, I am looking at buying the exhust jack ( air bag ) to lift it up. I lift the Rail up behind the front seats were the bracing is, You need 26"s of lift there. I am changing the A frame too, the new one I am making tabs with an eye on it that is mounted at the frame rails of the trailer with a pin to hold the legs, pics. as I build it The old frame is made of 1"X2"X1/8" steel tube it's not too heavy. The new frame is out of Alum.

Little quad in first as far as it will go.
Back buggy up to little quad, jack up buggy and insert A-frame underneath.
Back 2 quads side by side under front of buggy.
Say a prayer, and head to Glamis.

Mctoo - how wide is your car in the back with the skinnies? Actually, that question goes to anyone who backs their car in.

I have a four seat car and a 6'' long travel rhino. What are everyones experience with this combination and what 5th wheel trailer will this stuff fit in. I'm looking to buy a TH and want to make sure everything will fit.

If you figure out how to get all this in a 5ther, I want to know. Might take a little creativity...

This is how I get it all in there, and there are two prayer one going and the one to come back. Also I have 74" from out side to out side of tires, they are stock VW. rims, there turned backwards to clear the brake calapers This is cheaper than a new trailer or taking two trucks and trailers, butt it takes a long time to load it all up. I have it down to about an hour and 20 mins. for the quads and rail, then add all the other camping stuff.
J Alper
I am totaly impressed, If you ever have the pics, before the quads go in, I would like to see them. Thanks

38 Gearbox with the slides makes it tough.
I put the swivel sets up on the bed.The DS 650 and ATC 70 go next to the slide.
My Geo Tracker(Rhino) goes in the rear behind the slide and fits with 2 inches front and rear.
Tows like a dream.Trailer empty and trailer completely full is only about 500 pounds of pin weight difference. but the whole rig weights 33k
big_daddy_jp
slc 3805 quads in the front buggy in the rear driven straight in. Never a problem
