I fully agree...

A phrase like Pack it in - Pack it out doesn't work. (Though we all should live by it)
Some stupid squirrel or gecko won't do the trick.
Tony the Tiger, Mikey the Moose and Dippy the Duck won't do much.

Talk to them in their own language... The desert is full of a whole lot of alpha males who don't want to take time to read more than a sentence if there aren't pictures to go with it.
