We have seen a few truck with gooseneck hitches. Was wondering the pros and cons of such trailers with those type of hitches. How is the turning radius with a trailer with a gooseneck hitch versus a fifth wheel hitch? Is there more stress on the trailer? On the truck? Is it easier or harder to hitch up? Any advise would be great. Our trailer is currently set up as a fifth wheel hitch with a super glide for the short bed, I am open to gooseneck but I am uninformed on it's details. Thanks

The biggest disadvantage for your application is that, so far, no manufacturer is offering a GOOD option for a sliding goose neck. Sounds like you need the turning room.
There have been a few issues with pin box damage with super extended king pin boxes. No significant issues with stresses other than that.
I think it is easier to hook up with the standard FW hitch than with a goose neck--easier to see and you do not have to be as spot on for connection.
I use a super glide too for my own trailer--stupid expensive but cheeper than the potential damage.

Not that it matters anymore, but Warrior said gooseneck voids the frame warranty...
