I have a 2006 34ft fifth wheel and I have had two blow outs in three weeks.I check pressure before we leave and before we leave the desert. My problem is I decided on Michelin XPS I think, but my wheels say max pressure of 65lbs and all tires in my size 235/85/16 are all 80psi.I am getting info that 15 pounds over is fine for those wheels and others say not to do it.Im thinking now of going with an aluminum wheel and unisteel tire with max pressure 95 or 110 psi with with a load range of 3700 or 3900lbs.The last blow out was last week on sunday night 10:30pm in the rain on the 91 freeway with my seven year old and nine year old and one puppy, pretty sketchy!I would like to thank GD.com with the great info on changing the fifth wheel tire,I was out of there in 15min.Thanks in advance for any info its much appreciated!
Thanks,
TP

I hear once a tire blows on one side you need to replace the ones next to it as it stresses the good tire to the point that they will fail next. My brother has an Alfa and as been replacing tires one at a time for it seems like for ever. I had one start to loose tread replaced all of them at once with Maxis and have had zero problems.

Thanks panther I did end up changing them all out to the Michelin XPS Ribs.I had issues because one wheel was engrave 65psi and every tire in the 16's were 80 psi or more.It turned out to be only one wheel was marked so will see how the Michelins work out. Thanks,TP

Once you go to the XPS Ribs and Al wheels, you won't be looking back. Just do it!!!!!
