SHOCKER
Well I me and my dad went out to olgilby to meet up with my friends, this was our first time to olgilby and gordons but not the first time to the dunes,

Our first ride we went to patton at gordons, just to get to the hill from olgilby is very rigid, the dunes between the hill and olgilby are not for the timid, my friends have been going there for their whole lives so they new those dunes, I kept up easily, the hill was steep where no one was going up so me and my frined went up it,

Our second ride we went to go pick up our friend at gordons, found him and headed back so we can go to the drags at 3, we crossed through the valley closet to test and its was really dusty, we were in a hurry and having 3 bikes kicken up dust wasnt making it easy to see, we got towards the end of the valley and our friend hit a dune line about 2 feet tall really steep and it shot him in the air almost throwing him off the bike, then I come up to it and not having time to slow down I gassed it trying to get the wheels over the little 2 foot wall of sand my back wheels hit preloading and throwing me off my bike like I did a superman(what my frined had said) I landed on my right hip then my head hit, then i blacked out and i woke to my friend saying josh you alright, your alright, I jumped up and said wheres my bike did my bike land on the wheels

after that ride I felt like crap and wasnt up to going to the drags which I really wanted to go see, at least my bike is alright

I was camped at Gordons for Presidents Weekend, the drags were ok, nothing too special happened, no wrecks, accidents or shirts coming off the ladies, I know the dunes you are talking about, whenever our group wants to get some technical riding in, that is where we go, 1st & 2nd gear type stuff, see it, ask "can I make it over that? Let's see". fun riding but can be hazardous. glad to hear you are o.k., we had 3 crashes in our compound, all minor, but crashes

Technical riding, steep hills, too much dust. Sounds like Gordon's...now that I've got the trailer the wife may consider going back out there again. Hope you get feeling better, SHOCKER...

I know those dunes too. Totally random. Rubber and I rode those during the summer. Softest sand I've been in. I felt bad for the 2 wheelers. Yet I still laughed at them! laughing.gif

Yeah you bastard! laughing.gif You were complaining about the soft sand while you were on your banshee. I was struggling with my 250. laughing.gif 500 is a different story. icon_wink.gif
