Screamin Ian
Hey guys, I am a licensed general and plumbing contractor thats looking for something to do, I am a one man gang at the moment just trying to survive in this wonderful economy we have. My main thing is bathroom remodels, but can pretty much do anything. Since I dont have employees and huge overhead I am pretty cheap in comparison with other contractors. If anyone needs any sort of painting, drywall, electrical, cabinetry, trim (baseboards, etc.), plumbing, tile or anything that has to do with home improvement please let me know.

Summertime is right around the corner and if you are looking to add some ceiling fans in bedrooms I am your man.

I also have a dump trailer and dont mind filling it up for you folks that have to fit everything in a trash can.

I can also transport cars/buggies, etc in an enclosed trailer as well.

One more thing I can do is weld a bit, not like the fab guys here, but I have made a tailgate for my utility trailer and just finished some drop down door extensions for my dump trailer.

I am licensed, bonded, insured, so no worries.

Thank you,

Ian

Forgot to mention, home base is San Diego County, but will travel for the right job. (Drove 6 hours round trip to install 6 can lights for a fellow board member, I am NOT afraid to travel)

I have some touch up paint and baseboards need to be filled and painted. Any interest?
Screamin Ian
Sure, I can handle that. PM me with info. Thanks!!
Duneroller
Ian, I need to have you come up sometime and give me an estimate on some trim stuff. Thinking of doing some crown molding and maybe new baseboards.

I need a deck finished in my backyard. It was started, and the guy that was doing it doesn't have time to finish. You can commute, or bring your trailer up and stay in the campground. I am thinking it would take two good days to almost finish it. I pay cash...........and beer.gif
Screamin Ian
Duneroller, just let me know when, Menefee is not that far from me. My circle is pretty much from Mexico to Oceanside to Temecula/Menefee area
Duneroller
I'm just down the road from Alx so if it all works out, you may be able to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Just let me know what needs to be done....here are some pics of the deck I built at my place, complete with 220V for the spa, accent lighting in the steps, outlets on all sides, etc. (not finished in the pics)

The dates are NOT correct, took me about 2-3 weeks from start to finish.

Hmmmm, been thinking about getting one installed on the kitchen door.

I already have one on the front door. Sure would be nice to open both doors up and get a breeze pulling through the house!
Screamin Ian
anyone? Esco will be getting his new fan this week.
Esco
jump.gif were excited about it also
Timmay
How about a patio roof Ian?
Screamin Ian
havent done much in the way of roofing, and am not insured for that (very expensive0, but I might be able to put you in touch with someone who is a roofer if its a bigger job, you thinking full boogie roof with plywood, paper and shingles or a semi shade type of thing?
Timmay
a semi shade type thing

That is some 1st rate work. In my last house I had the same type ceiling and 3 differant licenced electrical contractors came out and said they could not install fans in the house without haveing to remove an entire section of the cieling to do the wireing and they would not give me a not to exceed price for the job.... AWSOME WORK IAN

Thanks, I gave Esco a best case and worst case senerio price, figured it would take me 2 days tops, one day to run the wires and get the drywall back in, 2nd day to tape and texture drywall and to install fan. Did the whole thing start to finish in just under 8 hours and came in below my best case senerio price. win, win situation.
Esco
and this is the only thing I really have to paint, drywall and texture came out perfect

Goodtimes.
What would you want for 250 sq foot of laminit < plastic first , then base board in ramona ?
Screamin Ian
^^^PM sent, would love to come by and check it out.

If you get out to Canyon Lake / Menifee area let me know. Need a hanging light replaced with a ceiling fan in the living room (vaulted ceiling probably 15'-20'), ceiling fans in the kids rooms would be great, none of our bathroom outlets work (makes it fun for drying my hair! lol) and we need to paint in the living room. Would love an estimate if you're ever out in this area.

Ian...do you do stucco? I need some done on the outside of the house. just patch work mostly?
little blue buggy
Ian,
can you install a security door?
it is on a mfg home....youve seen the place

Thanks
ehall
too bad you're not in az. looking for a contracter to build custom shelves and computer desks in our new library at Redhawk power plant
Desertroamer
Ian can you do framing. I am wanting to convert a single carport into a single car garage. I want to do it but I have a few issues with the support framing that I can't figure out. It would only be two walls one which is a garage door. I would be willing to help with the build also. I am in Yuma though.
Screamin Ian
dang, whole lot of responses in a day, thanks for thinking about me guys.

I never got into the stucco thing, 95% of the stuff I have done has been on the interior of the house and subbed out the stucco and roofing.

LBB, could probably figure out the security door thing, we have a mfg house too, so its probably similar, would like to check it out or see pics to figure out plan of attack.

Have done some framing, mostly moving walls to make interior rooms bigger, but some have been load bearing. Shouldnt be that hard to figure out. How soon are you looking to get it done? We might be able to figure something out.
Desertroamer
Ian I was thinking in the fall sometime to give me a little time for money. Maybe when I get the money in say OCT or NOV I can schedule it so you can head to the dunes also. Kill two birds with one stone.
Screamin Ian
that may work out, bring tools, buggy and 5th wheel. If I get bored and want to go on a road trip to check it out before hand I will let ya know. Is this going to be inspected? If so I may have to see if there are issues with being a CA contractor vs. AZ one and any building code differences
Shelvis
when are you going to learn about the tricks and rules of Mobile Homes? I want to build two interior walls in my place if I get this new job! there are some tricks about attaching to the ceilings though.

ALSO.....I want a ceiling fan in my bedroom even if I don't get this job......interested? You can see how the one in the living room was done and do the bedroom the same way.

Let me know. icon_biggrin.gif

It's a backflow prevention device.

Like a gazebo type thing? or attached to the house on one side then posts on the other? Have fixed some, and framed a few walls, cant be that hard. would certainly like to talk about it and see what we can come up with.

lemme know.

Thanks
Screamin Ian
also wanted to add that I do service and repair plumbing.....water heaters, faucets, regulators, stuff like that.
SDB
I have a rental in Santee that needs a bathtub faucet replaced and also an AC looked at. The AC is fan only, no cold air coming out. Interested?
Screamin Ian
could definately do the bathtub faucet, dont know much about AC units though.

Gotta thank Jim, aka JimandMellissa, he just signed a contract today and I will be starting a cool little project for him on Monday, will post pics if its ok with him.
