Damn, thats hot too. In August on the way to Oregon just past the grapevine, the temp gauge said 105. Thats about as hot as the truck has seen pulling the trailer. I plan on doing a couple summer rides this year so it will probably see hotter.

I have a 2001 f250 crew cab long bed 4x4 with a 55 gallon barrel of gas inthe back along with fullsize spare and firewood with a 38 foot ww with 150 gallons fresh water and 20 fuel station with aluminum sides and no slideout with 2200 lb lt car with two fullsize quads and a 50 motorcycle. Whole package weighs 26,000lbs but my truck tows on the flats great and stops good but down to 40 on the grades. Truck has programmer, 4inch exhaust, intake, and 4.88 gears. With my trailer empty it doesnt tow much different and if the trailers have the same kind of options( no slide, aluminum sides) there isnt much weight difference in a couple feet so buy a bigger trailer and have the extra room for down the road.

food for thought- when LEO's are looking at GCWR, they will not usually have scales and will referance the GVWR on the trailer. It wont matter if your over or empty.
