Hey everybody, I hope I am not the only one that wants to know this, but who is a good shop to service quads, specifically Yamaha, '04 YFZ 450, and '03 Raptor, they both run great, but I want them to get a look see, and check the valves, and stuff that I dont know how to do, both have alba pipes, YFZ has cam mod, both jetted, K&N filters, etc. the YFZ is not close to their jetting specs, and they have never heard of the cam mod, so I dont want them messing with it, does anyone know of a place that actually knows about bikes, not just sells them? thanks for the input, I will pretty much go anywhere in so cal. if they are top notch people, but I am in San Diego. Thanks again, Ian

why not alba motorsports? Thier pipe...they will know the jet/etc. I would think.

when I put the pipe on, they said to stick with the same jet, like 156 main, and 42 pilot, I ended up with 45P and 172main, and it is still a hair lean, I just dont trust them, I mainly just need the end of year look over, and maybe a slight fine tune to really dial it in, I think Alba will just screw it up more, I have had nothing but bad experiences with them.

I would go with Alba I have never had a problem with them.
Turbo Diesel
There are a few places in the East county that I know of. You can give them a call or drop by and tell them what you're looking for. Talk to a mechanic if you can. If they give you a warm fuzzy, give 'em a shot.

Duncan Racing in Santee (if they won't do the work, ask if they can recommend someone).

Vey's in Santee.

Scrib's in El Cajon.
SHOCKER
Go with Alba

I would be more than happy to look over your bikes, and check the valves, etc. I have a yfz, and a blaster, and do all my own work. I have done the cam mod, jetting, exhaust, aluminum airbox, and k&n on my yfz, as well as checking the valves. I also have done a new top end on the blaster. I will be putting a 14:1 high compression piston in my yfz this saturday if you want to stop by and check it out. I am also in San Diego, in the clairemont area. E-mail me if you would like. vwluvers@san.rr.com

BTW, your jetting does sound a hair lean. I am running a 175 main, 45 pilot, 2 turns on the air screw, with the ncvq(yz dirt bike needle) on the 4th clip.
