i thought you guys all remove your airbox lids on purpose.

whats up sometimes too much free flow kills your low end torque huh....?

Need to put something over it. ive heard they have a chitty design and suck in all kinds of sand.

Thats just 2nd hand info from KenK and MG. They have had to replace top ends like crazy due to this....

I've seen a cover made by outerwears or something that replaces stock airbox lids and keeps the sand out, the one I saw was on a yfz though....

mines gone, and it runs fine. its got LOTS of hours on it and ive never had a problem. ken's deal is wierd for sure...

Install a good air filter, outerwear, and drill some hole on the stock lid.

I've always done this to all my quads. Works great and never had any problems.


NOTE: drill a larger hole at the bottom of the air box. This will keep sand that comes in through the lid from building up inside.

I cut the center out of mine and used the material that wedding viels are made out of and some plastic strips and rivited on there. Just like the outerwears only cheaper.
