OK this is your chance to shine. Just got a Blaster for my son and it is a mix of many years and needs lots of work. First of all. What is the first year the Blaster was made? What year had just 3 lug nuts for the rear tires? Is there a difference in the swingarm bearing /sleeve configuration? I found no bearings in the swingarm pivot area, just sleeves. Can I mount any year swingarm to any year frame? Don't ask me what year of anything I have because I don't know. I only know 250R's. HELP

only 3 lugs front and bac k or just back i never heard of yamaha usin 3 lug hubs i belive those were probablly transplanted to it i think they came out with the blaster in 87 i would reccomend gettin a oil injectiuon block off kit and going with pre mix

I got a serious project bike dude. I will send you a picture maybe tomorrow. Sand blasting, painting, grinding, welding, thising, thating and the other thinging. Gonna be fun!

The front spineles have 4 lugs, but the rear have 3, how odd indeed. Injector is already blocked off, at least something was done right. I have to tell you guys something. No offence to any southerners, but I have never seen quads so abused as these I run across in the south. Gives me a true challenge in rebuilding.

yea the rear hubs are off a older 3 wheeler i think a tecate i knew a guy that ran those on his blaster

88 was the first *model year*...it did come out in 87...i have one

3 lug nuts? it must be a tri-moto hub and rims, on yamahas you can share the hubs from other bikes, so the hub from a tri moto will fit on a blaster axle, (I did it with my odyssey parts, switched out hoda hubs)

you can get parts for 89 to 2002 the 88's are diferent since its the first year there were changes, the 89's to 2002's are the same,

not knowing what year it is You cant just mount any swing arm so if you post a picture of the swing arm I will tell you know
