Well, I picked up the 3 pups on Friday and took them home, sort of. For Friday eve, I already had plans so I dropped them off with a friend. Went to Petsmart on Saturday morning to pick up a few things (almost $300). Then went a picked up the pups, all of them. A friend, who thought her husband would say yes, was gonna take one but he didn't want another dog at this time. So, for a trial, I am planning on keeping the 3 pups together. It was an interesting weekend, for sure. Saturday, I took them to my ladies house to meet her 3 dogs and to see how they would all get along. They adapted fairly well. Sunday I took them to my house for the first time and we went swimming, which one loved, one was okay with it and the other wanted no part of the water. Sunday afternoon, we went to the park to play with more friends (a german sheppard and another lab) and see how they would act on a leash. My 3 cornered the sheppard and we knew that was not the best thing for them, or was it. The sheppard nipped at them and they took off running for their lives. After that, they all played VERY well together. It was funny, Saturday eve they were scared to death of my ladies little dogs but Sunday they try and pick on the big one....?

I want to make sure these pups grow up to be very good around people and other dogs/ all sizes. So far, I give them an "A". I have a few pics taken with my Blackberry for your viewing pleasure.

Oh yeah, the reason the pound was going to put them down???? Food aggression... Look at the pics, you tell me if I should be concerned...???

It was nice to meet you on Friday Howard. Very cool to see them go to a good home. I am glad they are doing well adapting to their new enviroments. Getting them out and experiencing as much as possible at a young age will help them transition so much better. Thanks again for taking them.

Well Howard, I want to give you HUGE props for stepping up and 1)taking these 3 little cuties off the Kill List and saving their lives, and 2) for really stepping up and keeping the little ladies even though the neighbor fell through. What a wonderful success story! to me, that is DOTM nomination for sure! Thank you so much! I look forward to seeing them in the dunes!

As soon as I can get them housebroken, I plan on introducing them to the sand rail. Let them sit in it for a while then off for a spin...! You can count on seeing them out there.... Thanks again for your help last week.... On a side note, I even got some brownie points with the girlfriend....

From left to right.... Blondie, Sam and Stacy.... How did we come up with the names? My lady and I were meeting two of her friends on Friday for some dinner and drinks and where talking about names. At this point, I was only keeping the two black pups, the third was going to a different home. Well, here friends were late so we decided to name the dogs after them. Blondie came into the mix after I decided to keep the third one with the other two. Blondie is named after my girlfriend. I couldn't have picked a better name, talk about a chip off the old block. Blondie is a pain in the butt, just like Aubri... Good thing Aubri doesn't get on GD.com, I could get in trouble.....

thats funny how they are when i picked them up Blondie was the sad, picked on pup she was the shy one and had a special place in my heart!!! Stacy was the active and noisey one and I thought she would be the pain in the butt..LOL I have to say these girls are so dear to us and I am glad they aree at a GREAT HOME!

It is strange. Stacy is the sweet one, easy to correct and the first to swim and find the step to get out. I'm taking Friday off so I can have a four day weekend to work with them. Wait till you see their "Puppy Palace". I'm turning my game room into their living quarters. It's a 20'x20' detached building with AC/heat, just need to install doggie door and get them potty trained. It has tile flooring so just in case the have a brain fart it will clean up easy.... Come to think of it, they have a better life than me....

Absolutely, we will have to set something up for sure. I haven't owned dogs for over for years. I kept talking about getting a puppy but never got around to it. I saw the post of these 3 being put down, made a phone call to a friend who does exactly what you do, find homes for pets. She said "Take all three, we will find them homes". After picking them up and seeing how well they get along and talking with the girlfriend, we couldn't seperate them. Besides, I have a big yard with a pool that hardly gets used and a seperate climate controlled building that is basically a 20K storage facility for a buddies stuff while he remodels his house. Not that the doggies will never see the inside of my house but the seperation during the hours of me working will be nice. Less stuff I have to replace during the growing pains.

I will keep in touch and welcome you down to my dirty little town after I am completely setup for Sam, Stacy and Blondie. Oh by the way, if anybody on here is ever in CG and looking for something to due, stop by and grab a pooper scooper.....

I will post some pics of the "Puppy Palace" before and after making the changes.... I doubt it will be the biggest dog house ever but it will be the biggest on my block....

Well the good news for you is, at least the girls look like they will be a managable size. The (almost) 5 month old Lab that Kim helped place in our home went from 24 pounds April 6th to 43 pounds as of Monday. Vet says he will be about 70-80 pounds when he grows up. But we our Turbo so very much!

those are great pic! Keep us updated of the worlds biggest dog house/ puppy palace!

They are toooooooooo cute! You could start a "scrapbook" for them, make sure to take hi-res pics as it is toooo fun to hang pics in the house of them!

make sure you get them spayed arout 6-7 months as I waited with Angel (our girl) and let me tell you it was NO FUN when she went into heat. I am sure Kim can get you a list of discount sapy clinics OR you may get super deal because you pulled them of Kill List.

I will... When my buddy gets all of his stuff moved out of there I can start to clean it up and decide what I will do in there for sure. The pics with them on the rug is from their future home. Tile floors are great, easy clean up. Although, only one mess so far.

On a side note, we had to take one of my girlfriends dogs to the Chandler Animal Hospital. She was vomiting and wouldn't move much. This dog is usually right in there soaking up all the action. All is good though, prescribed pepcid ac and that seemed to calm her belly.
