here is our rig, in stock form any truck will struggle some on the hills when you are pulling this with a 3000 rail loaded. We added exhuast, edge chip, pump, air system, DTT puller trans complete. Now it pulls like a monster, as I said in another post to go back and do it over, would not even bother with a pick up. Tractor is the way to pull and stop these big rigs. In a few years plan on a 53 foot low boy/ hauler with living quarters, power gate. First choice is a peter built then kenworth, maybe a volo with a cat engine but not the volo engine. Very nice pete you have!!! Big fan of them they ride soooo smooth. Brakes on the trailer with that ha ha funny with a 6 cylinder jake brake too funny, that Cat motor should have same jake hp as flywheel. Cummins 600 are 600/600 unless you have 40-60 thousand pounds you need to back the jake down to 4 cylinders.
