Today is the 3rd year since you left us Stacy. That evil CANCER took you away from us. The last few weeks of your life I sat beside your bed & you poured your heart out to me. You didn’t want to leave your Heather & Billy. You didn’t want someone else to replace you in their lives. You cried for hours to me about what you were going to miss. Heather’s 1st boyfriend, her proms & graduation from high school. You talked about how selfish your thoughts were, but you were not being selfish you just wanted what should have been yours. Your first grandchild, you knew what you were going to miss. Your concern for your son Billy. He looks so much like you. That red hair & freckeled face. You knew you didn’t want to miss anything about them but you had no choice. The one thing you talked to me about the most was the fact that you wanted them to have a loving family & a stable secure life like you had. We have such fond memories of you. Every once in a while we have a meal in your honor. We fix fried chicken with baked beans & macaroni salad. That was your very favorite. After we eat we put a tape of you in the VCR & watch it. Those tapes are priceless. Everyone in our family sits around & honors you with some little memory of what you said or did. You will always stay alive in the memories of our family.
In Loving Memory of Stacy
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived...
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she left...
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday...
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on...
You can cry and close your mind and be empty
or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, and go on...
Our Family was very fortunate to have had Stacy in our lives…
Our beach trips and family gatherings are no longer the same …
We love and miss you Stacy very much...
Your love and laughter will be forever engraved in our hearts...
Your loving family… Dad, Mom, Devon, Kevon , Jamie, Mike, Wendy, Trisha & Jeana
