Hey guys, thought I would start a new topic and do a little bit of advertising.

I have my General Contractors license (Class B) and also have a seperate Plumbing Contractors License (Class C-36). So if any of you out in gd.com land need some plumbing work done, feel free to give me a call or shoot me a PM or email or whatever. I still cant read smoke signals too well though.

I have done whole house repipes, remodels, and service and repair. There really isnt alot I havent done in the residential world.

So if you need a new water heater, kitchen sink, slab leak re-route or whatever I can handle it.

I also offer a quick home plumbing inspection for free for anyone who would like that done, no obligation at all. I simply check your water pressure, shut off valves, drains at each sink, tell you what I found, and thats it. The way I see it, is you get a professional to look and to answer any questions, and I MIGHT get some business. The main reason why I offer the free inspection is because I went through a flood in my old home, and because of a faulty pressure regulator ($100 part), it caused close to $40K in damages and I would hate anyone to have to go through that.

Thanks again, and even if you have a question I would be more than happy to answer it.

yep yep good luck man thats an awesome offer. my mom had a water heater failure due to very high water pressure. she was at 105!!! haha i loved taking showers there...sucked getting the crying phone call that her garage was filled with water. she got very lucky that it happened in the garage. her next door neighbor had a leak due to high water pressure and their house got flooded....it happened when my mom was watching their house and dog.

its no joke take him up on this offer it could save you so much cash.

I found out our pressure was at 140, the supply line to the toilet blew, and it was even the stainless steel braided kind. blew in the morning, and went full blast for over 8 hours. It was a total nightmare, #2 on the list to the fire thing we went through in Oct '07.

What people dont realize is that at night when most of the neighborhood is asleep, water pressure tends to rise which is why most occurances happen late at night or in the early a.m. I strongly recommend putting a gauge with a "memory needle" on a hosebib that is AFTER the regulator overnight, cuz even though your pressure is at 65 in the middle of the day, most of the time its well over that at 2 a.m. Also, alot of people dont know about thermal expansion tanks, which compensate for the rise in pressure when the water heater heats up water. It can raise the house pressure from 65psi to 80psi in 10-15 minutes, so if you are already close to the max allowable by code (80psi) and experience thermal expansion, then that could cause bad things to happen as well. Not saying that your pipes are going to explode, but pipes can become noisy when there is too much pressure, and also the valves inside the toilet tanks can open slightly causing water waste.

Sorry for the rambling, but I have seen it happen alot and an ouce of prevention can definately be worth it.

thanks again
