I've got one red beadlock that I want to be alumimum color. Is there any way (besides sanding) to remove the anodizing?

pool acid, we use it on the race team to clean parts before welding and in seconds the stain is gone. Then wash with water. I bet if you read the ez-off can it is a type of acid.

GO buy some GREASED LIGHTNING from Safeway and soak the ring in it for about 30 minutes then wash clean they will be Deano'd The oven cleaner is faster but is very abrasive to the Aluminum. The Gresaed Lightning will turn the ring BLACK when it is all black take it out wash it off and it will be ready to polish. The black is just from the chemical reaction and will come off with Water!!! Soak the whole ring though it may take 2 doses of the Greased Lightning depending on the thickness of Ano but you will not hurt the aluminum that way!!!

I worked at JPL a while back and I saw a machinist use a product called MEK. Don't know what it stands for or where to get it but it worked great. Took the anodize coating off real nice. I remember he was wearing gloves.

It is Methyl Ethyl Ketone and you can still get it a HD.
