The following weekend I believe is a 3 day weekend, Vets day is the Nov. 11th. I believe the gd.com vets flag pole ceremony would be that weekend? Just a thought...

We were fortunate last year with the weather being so moderate that weekend. It was hot the weekends before and after that one. Maybe we'll get lucky again this year.




Plus, Walt will be hard pressed to attend the Funco event and cook for us...

There wont be any room left on Gecko. The Funco regatta is huge. The ability to find any large area / pad for both groups would be very difficult. In previous years the Funco guests filled most of the pads and Roadrunner by like Tuesday of the week prior to the event weekend. The BLM may not even issue permits to both on the same weekend due to the crowding.

I disagree. Funco's Regatta is on Pad 4. For a couple years, Weekend Warrior Fest was on the same week-end on pad 5 twice and Road Runner Twice. Get your permits.

You could have some duning competition between the SCU's and Funco's.

I vote for the second week of November for the temperature mainly, but we will be there to support either way!!

I like the idea of getting an early jump on the season. So my vote is for 10-2, but like said before....I'll be there either way.

10-2 works for us. Maybe warm but less crowded.

Walt, we covered this last year. Amy says there is no way we're gonna leave you to guard pad 5 by yourself for an entire week before the regatta. Mid week drinkin' when it's quiet before Dave and POULE show up to rock the mic?? Heaven.
