I have a 2006 Fleetwood Excursion with 2 roof mount AC units. Are they servicable, add freon? They both blow cold but I was just curious what you guys do? I would call the STEALership but they seem to be able to service everything!

Thanks,

Cory

I believe they are a factory sealed system, wouldnt mess with it unless there is a problem. just keep the filters and coils clean. beer.gif

10-4. That's what I was thinking.

Thanks for confirming,

Cory

Yeah, they're sealed from the factory but I've seen some of them a little low on freon even when new. They make the service ports that pierce the line and you can add freon, but I would only do it if you're having problems or it doesn't have enough temp differential when it's on.

It was 109 deg. outside today and the cold air coming out of the vents was 61 deg. Seems to be ok.

Cory do you have the ceramic roof coating? My coach is very well insulated and thought it wouldn't make a difference...boy was I wrong. It was 95 at my home today and I can run one ac unit and keep the coach at 72 degrees.

What kind did you use?

Kool seal is what we've used on the garages at the river and it actually keeps them half decent with NO AC....

They have an RV product as well with a primer base, but if there is something better I'm listening.

48 degrees below ambient temperature is good.

The Paint Department in Chino, CA does it. The guys name is Dave. He just did mine. I forgot the brand but it fully seals the roof and also blocks 92% of the suns rays. The best part is that is has a 20 year warranty.

I don't have it, but I WANT IT!!! I will have to see who does it in Phoenix, or might have to road trip it to your guy.

Thanks,

Cory
