I have the alba pipe on mine, and love it. You can't go wrong for the price either. $450 gets you a full system, jets, and a k&n with adapter. Best bang for the buck imho. As for jetting, post up what mods he has done, and is going to do, and I can gt you pretty close on the jetting. I have jetted mine 3 times so far, so I am fairly familiar with how they react. Also, make sure he does the cam mod while he is adding parts. He will thank me later. beer.gif

The ESR has the most top end, but it is kinda pricey. $585 (looks the best in my opinion)

THe LRD has the most bottom end gain and a decent price $485

The YFZcentrl link will provide alot more information about these two pipes and many others.

I have the Alba pipe on mine, If I can remember right, clip is on #4 of needle that comes with pipe kit, main jet is 172, pilot is 45, air screw at 2.25 turns out, I think I am still a hair lean, I also have the cam mod.

Tell ya what though, that bike straight up hauls ass...its probably the most fun bike to ride. Test hill 4th gear wheelie all the way up, between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle.

Yeah, with the alba pipe, cam mod, and a k&n filter in a um airbox, I ran 170 main, 45 pilot, 2 turns, and 4th clip on the ncvq needle. I then went to a 175 main with everything else unchanged, and the bike was deifnetly faster. No sign of being rich. I have all the same stuff now, but with a sparks 14:1 piston, and I am running a 180 main, 48 pilot, 2 turns, and 4th clip on ncvq, running c12. Bike is running great. beer.gif

Be careful buying the gyt-r pipe. I know a few people who have blown the packing out in fairly short periods of time. I am not saying they all do it, or that anyone elses pipe doesn't. But, the only ones I have seen, or heard about so far were the gyt-r ones.

I have the full HMF, Alba K&N adapter and filter. I jetted 180 main and 48 pilot. I have not touched the needle or played with the air screw. The bike runs great and is fast. So far so good.

The Alba pipe is good the only complaint I have is that I got a sound ticket with it. So I got a DMC on ebay for $320 brand new because they have a quiet core I can slip in if I have to. Haven't tried it out yet but it looks sweet when you take the alien sticker off. From just idle compaired to the Alba it sounds alot smoother. If I don't like it it'll be on ebay and I guess I'll brake down and get the ESR.

Where did you get a sound ticket at?
