Proposed Regulations

http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=25980

The California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division is proposing revisions to the safety regulations for Oceano Dunes SVRA. The current regulation requires a whip and flag for non-street legal vehicles. These proposed revisions would require a whip and flag for all vehicles in the dunes. This requirement would be consistent with the regulations for Dumont Dunes and Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Areas, which are popular areas managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The proposed revisions would also prohibit specified vehicle operations that are unsafe but do not rise to the level of reckless operation or child endangerment.
