Try this one for size.

600 h.p. truck with planetary drive axles and a 600 h.p. pusher in the rear jeep. This one takes 3 drivers around "tight" corners.

With that you don't have to worry about the CHP, just how much you have to pay them to have them escort ya!

42' Country Coach Magna + 30' T&E All Aluminum Stacker with 5' Tounge. 77 feet on the highway. Just got back from St. Anthony yesterday no issues. BTW in California on the interstate is 75' for commercial trucks. Never been stopped in two years. I go to Oregon, Nevada, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Arizona never had an issue.

Mike

Were you driving south on the 15 through Utah yesterday? I saw a coach just like that, minus the trailer. The back said 600 HP. drummer.gif

Here I am in a 35 MPH headwind pushing to do 50 mph at 5 MPG and that coach blows right by me at about 70.

No it was not me....I left St. Anthony on Thursday morning and since i live near Carmel/Monterey I go thru Twin Falls and Wells Nevada and take 80 in to California. Mine is 600hp but it does not say it on the back.

Sandpsycho,

I'm not looking to argue I have been on this board a long time as you have been. If you're keeping score you can have it. The topic was how long you are not who was legal and who was not. I hae been going to the desert and other dune locations for 40 years and I have never had any issues and if I do I will be the one to mitagate them when the time comes. I done well enough in life to handle my own problems just fine.

If you see me ar "G" stop by and I will buy you a whiskey.

I seen two of these on different nights by my house in Anaheim. Workmen were walking beside the rig while it moved along. Lots of escort trucks, police and CHP with ithem. They were moving something for SC Edison. It took up two lanes on the street.

You brought up commercial truck lengths and I was only pointing out that they don’t apply to a motorhome that’s all. I’m glad you haven’t had any issues yet. I know a few people who have, one just got a ticket the other had to pick up his rig from impound. I would hate to see someone who was misinformed get their rig impounded, which is the only reason I replied to it. If you go back and look I think you will see I didn’t take any issue with you and was not the only one trying to point out the 65’ limit.

The CHP comment was a joke which is why I put this laughl.gif at the end of it.

I will keep score through, the whisky is on you.

You have a nice set up I’ll trade ya straight across.
