THATS WHAT I THOUGHT BUT MY BROTHER-N-LAW JUST BOUGHT ONE A MONTH AGO AND HE RECEIVED A RED STICKER IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY. WE ARE NOW CONFUSED AS TO WHY IT IS RED. ANY IDEAS?

at one time, you could tell by checking the vin....if the 8th digit was NOT a C or a 3, it was green sticker eligible. Might check that first. Also, not ALL 4 strokes are green stickerable. But I don't even think the dmv understands all the gobbldey gook in this ignorant, poorly thought out idea. They would have killed more smog by regulating the buses and trucks that spew out crap every day in the middle of the city rather than the small motors that run in the middle of the desert on a few weekends a year. But "they" are eco-nazi's, and don't have to make any sense.

OK ILL HAVE HIM CHECK THE VIN # AND HE MAY HAVE TO CHECK WITH THE DMV ON THIS MATTER.

IF HEARD VARIOUS THINGS ABOUT THE DMV MESSING UP WITH THE STICKERS, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR OPTIONS ARE FOR GETTING IT CORRECTED ONCE THVE SCREWED IT UP.

I got my green sticker a couple weeks ago for my 04' z400

FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, FROM WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR A 50 FOR MY GIRLS, THAT IT IS PART ON THE MFR. THEY HAVE TO PAY A LARGE FEE TO HAVE IT TESTED FOR IT TO BE ELEGABLE FOR A GREEN STICKER. IF THEY DON'T IT GOES RED STICKER. IF THE MFR FEELS THAT IT WILL NOT BE COST EFECTIVE THEY WILL NOT SPEND THE MONEY, AND THIS APLLIES TO 2 OR 4 STROKE. THIS IS WHAT I HEARD FROM THE BOMBARDE? DEALER

My 2 are GREEN but I got them last year. My new 2004 Honda CRF450R is RED and it's 4-stroke. Eff CA sucks on this crap, they are worried about emmisions from off road, man why don't the make the old desiel trucks clean their filters and check the cars comming across the boarder. This is BS I'm riding in the summer I don't care. I think I'm moving to Arizona, Damm.

the predators should be green if they are california bikes. it may be different if the bike came from a 49 state dealer at some point. for a while there was alot of people buying raptors, which cali models are grenn, 49 state are red, well people were getting red and it came down to dealers here were buying up the stock from other dealers in other states.

WELL AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED RED STICKERS FLAT OUT SUCK. THERE IS NO NEED FOR ANY QUAD TO HAVE A RED STICKER. ITS ALL A BUNCH OF BS.
