Full Version: Woooo Hooooo! Washy Gets His Dream Car
I've been looking for a clean, original bug for my daily driver for a long time. Everything I looked at was either beat down or over restored. I saw this one sitting for sale at the guys work 3 days ago and knew it was the newest member of our family within seconds. A deal was struck and I rolled solo to grab it this morning (dang I love having tow trucks!). 1300 cc's of fury.

One day the throttle cable in a friends VW square back decided to let loose. I sat in the back with the engine cover open and manually gave in gas, he'd yell when to let off so he could shift, that was a fun ride!! LMAO

nice bug, I had a '61 back in '90. Thing was all tricked out (well as tricked out as it could get on a high school student budget). I loved that little car, wouldnt mind having another one.

Nice Find Wash! My boy just got rid of his Java green 65...Right after i put a 1600 in it, converted it to 12 volt, and re did the interior.... 
Clean VW's are hard to come by, nice find.
My grandfather had a 66 java green one while I was growing up, that was the coolest car.
One of my neighbors ( Dizzle ) had one that looked exactly like it right down to the mag wheels.
I was going to thieve that thing
but he got rid of it before I could get my hands on it.
