As much as I try to keep up on this stuff I was surprised to learn of this group today that I had never heard of before. I was listening to syndicated talk show host Hugh Hewitt, who is himself a lawyer that fights cases involving the endangered species act, and he mentioned the PLF, or Pacific Legal Foundation. http://community.pacificlegal.org Turns out they do a lot of fighting against the enviros and for common people. Right now their biggest focus is the water rights for CA, especially for farmers. Those of you in CA might want to jump on their site and sign their petition.

So I'm wondering, those of you that are high-ups in the ASA, do you know if the PLF has been contacted on behalf of getting the Pierson's Milkvetch delisted? I have no idea if they would or could be of any help, but it sure wouldn't hurt to contact them.

King G, thank you for finding that. You are a true patriot for pointing this out. I hope some day, that legislation will be put in place to stop abusing the endagered species act for the purpose of opposition to a certain groups access. I hope that there will eventually be a trigger of sorts to stop these things and require full evaluation BEFORE actions are taken to close access anywhere. Thank You.

They were contacted by the ASA years ago.

The PMV issue was too limited in scope for them to provide help at that time. Their focus, at least at that time, was on issues that had broader scope and would affect more people than then the PMV issue at the ISDRA.

then everyone sign a petition and show them that it's a large enough number of people to move forward
