HAS ANY ONE TRIED THE TPI DIAL-A-JET ON THERE QUAD? DOES IT WORK GOOD, ANY PROBLEMS? BEEN THINKING (I KNOW THATS NOT A GOOD THING TO DO) ABOUT ONE FOR MY 400EX. I GO TO SAND MTN. 4500 FT ELEV. THEN TO PISMO. THOUGHT IT MIGHT HELP.

I was gonna post a question about these too. Someone was telling me about it last weekend and said they work great.
Where can you get them??

I was telling you about it. If you set it according to instructions, it seems to work good. I went to St Anthony, ID (5,000ft) and while lots of others were rejetting, mine ran great.
Drop down 2 or 3 main jet sizes then install it and it supposedly smooths out the hp curve, looks more like fuel injection rather than a carb with 3 fuel circuits.

On a Craptor it does, the Yamaha geniuses made it real easy

Over and above not needing to disassemble the top of the bike, it produces more and smoother power than can be achieved by even perfect jetting, acordingto their dyno charts. I think it works and my bike runs smooth with no flat spots at G and at 5,000ft.

How much does dial a jet cost? I'm going to St. Anthonys this summer and was getting ready to to find out what type of jetting I should be running. This sounds like a better deal than changing out jets every time I change elevation.

me and my dad have them on our bikes. i have a DS650 Baja and they added a lot of power! and on my dads Raptor the front wheels dont stay on the ground! the dial-a-jet work great. if u still dont know how they work all u do is put a hole in the rubber boot thing going from the carb to the air box. and u put the dial-a-jet part in there and it is just another needle that u adjust. u hook up a fuel line from the over flow on the carb to the part that u put in the hole and what is does is when u get to a certain rpms, it sprays fuel in the carb. so the air going to the carb already has an air/fuel mixture so this makes it easier on ur carb so that lasts longer. and they say that it gives u better fuel milage. dont know how but now that i think of it the gas was kinda better. hope this helps.
