Our Rhino has the alba pipe on it now and it is sooooooooooooo loud. I think it has gotten louder over the last 2 years. Do any of you have any suggestions for a new pipe. I don't want to lose hp but I hate the noise.

Ron woods hands down.

woods is the best for performance, but not for noise. the quietest your gonna get is a muzzy with quietcore, that isn't the stocker
pronstar
The Muzzy's without the quiet core is pretty quiet as well.

Woods with supertrapp muffler is definitely louder than the Muzzy's. It's a good quality sound, but if you have kids riding in back it could be a bit much.
You could remove a disc or two on the supertrapp, to quiet it down, but I haven't tried it so don't know how much performance suffers.

Gibson, it's just a little louder than stock! And performs better.

I know what everyone is going to say, but I have the 2nd gen and have had no problems with it!!!

The Muzzy's are nice, but still pretty loud, but better than the rest!

I would say one of two ways and I have had more ex sytems then the magazines!!! Either STOCK or Gibson!!! Gibson looks great and is not to loud but stock is PERFECT!!!

I was told if I go back to stock we will lose 6 to 7 hp.

Muzzys with Quiet Core...only lose a slight bit of power. I ahev the regular Muzzys pipes and they are not very loud at all...

Buy the packing for that pipe and put it in. Alot of people don't realize even mufflers need maintenance too. If you don't keep them stuffed with packing they will self destruct and you will end up having to buy a new pipe anyway. I do all mine once per year.

I have the gibson exhaust on here for sale. The only reason I dont use it now is because had the motor rebuilt and part of it was the alba exhaust. If interested send me a pm.

either repack the one you have now, or get a muzzy. they sound very nice, and not obnoxious. loud does not equal hp. you will probably find you are down on hp now, because there is no packing in the pipe. people have a tendency to overlook pipe maintenance. a blown out pipe is a no good pipe.

Exactly, I know what everybody will say but I like the Gibson too. I had the first gen, then went to the second Gen and have had 0 problems with it. Plus Gibson stands behind their product. They actually did a warranty from the 1st gen to the 2nd Gen, shipped it with no questions asked. There's a lot to say about customer service too, and they are the nordstroms of the industry. IMHO.. It's guieter with a nice happy medium power gain. My friend has the Alba and I can't tell the difference in perormance when we are side by side. good luck

when you get a new one hook my up with your old one.lol

I do not believe any one pipe out there will gain 6-7hp so I doubt going back to stock will robb you of the spoken 6-7hp. but if you have to have aftermarket again Gibson is the best product out there, from look to quality to sound and they really do back there products. I particularly like the center exit it makes it look alot better as well with alof of the custom cages they tie down into the lower part of the chassis and with the center exit your not blowing smoke on your tubing, as well with the down turned tip it looks even better and seems to make it even quieter. So basically if I ever buy another rhino I am sure if I upgraded ex I would not even look anywhere but to the Gibson line aain. I have had Pro curcuit, FMF, HMF, alba, dragon fire, ACI, stock with the KMS head pipe, BRP Flow, custom built with the Flowmaster hushpower and KMS headpipe, and the Gibson so I have tried ALOT of the systems and would say stock or Gibson

From what I've seen, unless you have a lot of motor work that really needs to breathe, the stock pipe does just fine with the baffle removed. I highly doubt any pipe on a stock motor would give 6-7 hp............pipe dream..........LOL

Ron Woods for any type of performance gains, Muzzys for quiet or stock. I wouldnt buy anything else.

I run a woods pipe with no discs, god i love that loud MF'er, really helps people not tailgate laughing.gif

ok off subject a little bit.... I have a Alba pipe too with the the stock carb mod they do........ i am putting my stock pipe back on for the wife and wanted to know if anyone knew what i would have to do in the carb(re-jet main, pilot, needle??) to adjust for the stock pipe...

or i would do a straight swap for a stocker carb (i will give you my $800 pipe and carb)...

alba used a flowmaster hushpower muffler. cant rebuild it.
Mr. Pickle
I thought for the Alba all you had to do was the pilot and main jets?

If you switch to an Alba, K&N and CDI setup, is re-jetting necessary? I know they tell you to but I was just told by someone else that it is not. Any thoughts here? (Sorry for the highjack smile.gif)
