TheWrenchWench
1/2 head red cabbage
1/2 cup veggie oil
1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
3 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp. salt
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp onion powder

Shred the cabbage irregularly, with some fine and some coarse pieces. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over cabbage, mixing well. Let stand several hours or overnight to allow flavors to blend. (I recommend overnight~ the flavor is much better). After we eat it the first night I generally add the remaining cabbage to the batch and mix again, not adding anymore dressing. The vinegar draws out the moisture from the cabbage and there's plenty of liquid to go around.
