there is this portuguese speaking mx racer guy that lives two houses down. dude rides like everyday. i watched him lay his gear on the driveway and power wash it after he cleans his bike.
i tried this out and really like it. there is no laundry detergent but it still works awesome. just thought i would share.

I wash mine on the gentle cycle and air dry. Unless its muddy then it gets the hose outside first.

i wash mine and dry them in the dryer, never had problems. power washer would be great after those muddy track days. wish i had a power washer.....

Washing machine, then into the dryer for 15 minutes, rest of the drying process is hanging out to dry

spin cycle killed my pants. they were pretty old though. ill still use the washing machine after a long smelly glamis weekend. but i kind of like this quick power wash rinse after a couple hours at the track. gets the sweat and mud spots off the gear. hang dry....back in the bag and they dont reek next time you put um on.

Machine wash gentel cycle remove before spin & air dry. At least thats how there supposed to be getting washed. If they get real muddy at the track I will spray them off with the hose though.

saw the racer dude out there again today. man he hand scrubs his gear with a bristle brush and soapy water before power wash rinsing it. thats a lot of work!!! geez....he has like 10 sets of gear hung up on his garage wall. either he dont have a washing machine or he is afraid of wearing out his gear.
im diggin the quick little power wash rinse on the driveway. got it all set up for the bike anyway and i can rinse my body armor too. cant put that sucker in the wash and it gets more sweaty than the jersey.

I shake it around in a bucket of water with car-wash soap, hang dry over the patio railing
