Looks great. Just curious, why the distributor instead of individual coils?

That is just a spark disturber. There are no electronic in it at all... Just a rotor and cap. It will be triggered by a MDS trigger wheel that will bolt to the front of the Damper. The cam sensor will be triggered by another part I'm developing right now... It will be a pretty trick part when finished. There are some advantages to this set-up over the COP system <(coil on plug) like the LS engine uses... Tim mentioned a few, but there are other reasons as well.

As I mentioned earlier, this is just a engine I'm putting together to set-up the car. Sure, it's got some giggle gas on it but it's nothing special. It's just like one of my Zilla 402 engines like I have listed on my website with a optional carb style intake. But I'm putting all the belt drive stuff on it just like I'll have on the big motor so I can do all the mock up. That way, it will be much easer to switch everything over when it's ready. Or I might just put the big motor in this virgin white car and leave this car as is... I have not decided yet.

Ahhhhh... Back to my new passion. icon_biggrin.gif Here's an update for my motor head friends following my racing program. There's one thing I love about drag racers. They don't give a crap about Dynos... All they want to see is the time slip from your last 1/4 pass. Because a time slip cuts through all the Dyno BS.

I got the windshield lip cut way back for more clearance... Just gotta box it in now. I also got the rear tunnel cut out and boxed it. I had to do this for more torque arm clearance because I'm gonna get this sucker low to the ground.

I also got a lift put in the shop to help do all this stuff. By the end of next year, I hope that F-R-E will become F-R-C (Forrester Racing Chassis) and I'll be completely out of the Sand Car Engine business. Building Race Cars is a lot of fun, and it's time to do something new!

Looks good Clay.

Is that a new lift I see?

Nice!

Looks like a Rotary lift, they are the best! Very easy and quick to set up compared to other lifts with the screw style pads. Very nice build by the way!

Thanks! And I can't afford it either but I'm doing it anyway! laughing.gif Doing a lot of the work myself or with help saves me a ton of money. If I had to buy everything outright... EGADS!

Did a little more mock-up on the motor. It will be getting a crank drive F3 Procharger (2300 HP) And I stared another project too. 93 LX coupe. It too will get a LS engine in it. icon_biggrin.gif
