I met John (goyard) here on this board and joined him on a trip he had already planned. We spent a week at Bryce canyon and a week at Marysvale UT. which is about 60 miles north of Bryce canyon. I put a little over 500 miles of trail riding on my ArcticCat on the trip. We had a great time and I want to go back later in the year when the leaves are changing. UTAH has so many nice trails you never run out of new ones to ride. I took 160 pictures but these are the best ones. Thanks to Jim & Terri at the South Forty RV park in Marysvale UT www.southfortyrvpark.net for helping us with the trail selections. They have rode most of the trails. Yes in some of the pictures that is snow in July.

Yes some of the pictures are, but we started at South Forty RV park up to Silver creek mine and down deer creek trail to Hovers then back to the RV park. Hoovers has excelent food also. Like the "T" shirts said not Hooters, Hoovers.

We just got back from Marys and what a trip...
The food at Hoover was great and the Jam was packed full of fun. We had a booth at the Jam and had meet alot of fine folks who love there rides, we were able to sneak away on some of the rides and didn't want to come back home... Could spend another week just riding.
Will definitely go again.... The only issue was that the town rolls up the streets at 8 pm.

Beautiful pics!!! Looks a LOT like Joe's Valley, Utah. If you want to camp on a lake next time, you really should look into it.
We stay at Rubys Inn on the way home from Joe's Valley, iFly turned me on to that place. It's awesome.
Beautiful riding up there in Utah!!

That is funey, Ifly turned me on to the Bryce canyon trails also. We were at St Anthony's and Ifly was going to Bryce on the way home and I ask him about Bryce since I live in AZ and had to go down Hwy 89 right past Bryce on the way home. Well we stopped there for the day but I had my sandrail in the trailer and couldn't do any trails I always thought I would come back. Man if you like trails UT rocks. Now I have to see where Joe's Valley is.

Is there any primative camping allowed in some of these places in Utah or is it only Campground camping ?
Yes there are lot of places. Close to Bryce canyon around the Tropic reservoir there were lots of places, some of them had running water. Here is picture of the reservoir http://www.waterquality.utah.gov/watershed...es/TROPICRS.pdf
At Marysvale there was a great one at miners park which is in the mountains behind Marysvale, nice dirt road to the park. Here are some picture I took at miners park, the RV area is 200 ft from here. The camping is next to the stream.

We just take the road up into the Fish Lake National Forest from Koosharem. We looked at the maps on the page listed below to plot a course through the trail system from there. Some of the trails can get pretty difficult. I actually blew my Banshee engine up riding the trail in the last picture I posted. My Raptor does a much better job out there!
http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/fishlake/maps/index.shtmlI must add that, as you may know already, quite a few of the trails are limited to vehicles that are 50" wide. So some SXS's may not fit.

Lots at Joe's Valley as well.
http://www.atvutah.com/arapeen/images/arapeen_trail_map.jpgWe wanna try the Mt. Baldy campsite one day. But, I've seen people camping all over the place! I don't think there are any restrictions at all, except what you are capable of getting to!

I just checked my GPS
Ruby Inn was 7,669 ft.
South Forty RV Marysvale 5,921 ft.
Kimberly mine was 9,299
I think the top of the mountain where the snow was is between 12,000 and 14,000 ft.
I didn't set my GPS at the top.
