I ordered my clutch kit and it just came in. I would like to attempt putting my parts in myself. I just don't know the proper order or procedure. I have a chevy 3.8 that currently has the 091 adaptor plate on it. It came with the new fly wheel. My clutch kit has the pressure plate, the stage 3 - 6 puck clutch disc and the late model throw out bearing. I am bolting all of this up to an 091 transaxle. I am mechanically inclined, but I have just never done this before. Is this something I could do and if so, can someone give me some tips and some pictures if possible. Website links would even work just fine, if you have them. Thanks. I always appreciate any positive responses. Tim (Hydro).

Did you get a plastic pug thing that hold the clutch to the PP thing? If not get one and it will make things simple.

Install adapter plate, then flywheel, then clutch/PP combo with plug. Grease the tip of the output shaft of the transaxle, then gently pull the plug thing and stab the engine with the tranaxle in gear that way you can rock the car back and forth to get the splines aligned. Sometimes they fall in and sometimes it takes time. I find if it doesn't go in within a few tries to pull the engine back and realign the clutch with the plug and try again.
