Sister Nature and Mother G got together one day,
"Let's see if we can get Mr. Moon to come out and play!"
So they made a day and then a night so perfect you see,
Smooth dunes, warm sun, and a cool night for duners like you and me.
The night was crisp and clear, blanketed end to end with bright stars,
Mr. Moon came out, and the ladies of the Dunes told him to shine far.
Those two, Mother G and Sister Nature, for they had a plan,
And everyone knows that a woman can outsmart a man.
They laughed and flirted and teased Mr. Moon,
next thing he knew dawn was coming soon!
The sky succumbed from the darkness of night,
gave way to Ms. Nature's wonderous morning light.
All shades of purples, pinks, blues and Mother G's dunes began to show,
Mr. Moon had no choice but to stay on the horizon a-glow.
As he slowly sank into the land, the ladies waved good bye,
Mr. Moon faded away until next time with a tear in his eye.
"I will be back, my ladies, and very soon,
for us to play under my warm summer moon."
"Keep our family happy and treat them well,
it keeps them all sane, and gives them great stories for all to tell."
And so this story ends until next time, you see,
But it is really about You and me, and our Mother G.
