Well i got this car from normalario here on the board a while ago, i love this car so much its fits my family perfect so i could never see selling it, so i will just continue to litltle things to make her just write. I wanted to have a nice stereo put in the car so i took the buggy to my buddys at Al & Eds in La Mesa, ca that i tint for, asked them hat they suggested they said Alpine went crazy on there new marine line so when i saw that i basically i will take it all. So i odered the 2 sets of the 7.7" speakers for the mids and highs, A 10" sub woofer, the new deck that has the flash drive output and ipod output, 2 amps for the speakers, and there new stereo controller for boats. wasnt sure how they were going to make it all work and fit, i just told them have fun with it. so here are some pics of the stereo install its not complete but its really close.

Aug 27 2009, 07:29 PM
yeah we didnt disturb any aluminum work at all he may have to do a lil trimming on the paneling for the new tubing. i already have a windshield for the buggy, i just hate the way it looks, when they did the framing they did it flat, there is no curve to plain. it takes 3 minutes to put it on and take it off so i just use it when its cold.

well looks like i get to pick it up tomorrow, no problem

cant believe i dropped the car off last monday night and its finished would have been finished quicker but had to wait on parts, I couldnt have asked for a better experience from a builder/fab guy, you here about situations while building cars some are great some are horrible. i have had bad relationships mostly so this time it was a breath of fresh air. anyway nuff said will have pics up tomorrow finished, tearing the front clip off this weekned and its off to the chrome and powdercoat shop. getting close have a few more loose ends at the stereo shop then off to the painter october 1st for the custom paint work.

Looks good. The old front arms where beefy but the new front-end is going to be sexy. This buggy will get some attention for sure. I love the colors.

Funny, this chassis was originally mine...I sold it to Norm. I have to admit I'm kinda bummed you cut off the beam though, it's is a sweet set up! what was JP's plan for trying to blend the cut off tubes into the chassis?

We capped the old existing tubes that went to the beam. There was not enough room to make them flow into the new existing front end. The car came out awesome with the old hood still fitting with the new shock mount bulk head.

with the stereo we had to make custom pods for every speaker and amps, all fiberglassed so a lot of man hours. you would probably be into the 2-3k range depending on the equipment you use.

Nice work on the pods.
Where did they mount the MC10? A couple of friends have them mounted on their steering wheel in their boats.
Any finished pics of the sub enclosure? Did they mount it up under the hood/dash?
