Just got back from Pismo on Friday, did not stay on the beach. We stayed at the State campground on Pier Ave. for five days. Parked under a eucalyptus tree and so I guess it was seeping sap/gum.
Tried to wash it off the roof on Saturday with a carwash type long handled soft bristled brush and Simple Green. Got some of it off but I think something else.
Any suggestions? Toyhauler is an 08 Tahoe 26' with the rubberized roof (I think thats what I have)
Thanks for any help peeps!

Give my boy Greg a call at 626 400 7479 and tell him you want the GD hookup on a full wash! Homeboy will get that roof sparkling white!

I use a clean push broom to scrub the roof with simple green. My dad follows with the pressure washer with the fan tip on it. Only takes about 30 mins

I'm an avid user of Smart and Final brand of Cleaner and Degreaser, it can be cut with water to dillute. Check to see if it can be used on that type material?

Guess I'll try using a stiffer brush, I was afraid to scratch or damage the roof with it. I'll take it easy and see how it does. Will also ask at the local RV place what they recommend.

Try using ( Goo Gone ) on the bad parts.

I don't know about Goo Gone, isn't it petroleum based? I don't think I want that on my roof, (that stuff works great on dried paint though), it would probably take a couple of gallons to do the whole roof!

Use a cleaner made for runner roofs or you can speed up the weathering process. I use Thetford rubber roof cleaner/conditioner and a stiff bristle brush. It will still take elbow grease to get completely clean. Also make sure you wet the sides of the trailer before going on the roof and rinse the sides to get all the cleaner off that ran over the edge as it can discolor.

Smart man, right there.
Only use rubber roof cleaner, or you'll be replacing the entire rubber in just a few years. Simple green is some really nasty stuff for a rubber roof, I've been a tech at Beaudry RV in Tucson, before I went back to work for the Air Force, I'm not done serving my country yet. Rubber roof cleaner, RV dealer or camping world.

I second the Thetford rubber roof cleaner and a 10 to 1 mix of awesome orange. Will make roof as white as photo posted above.
orange is an oxydizer and at 10 to 1 mix and used once a year, should make roof last at least the 10 years I plan on keeping it.
Lots of water/do 2 by 2 sections at a time. Takes yellow off the window sills by 50% as well.

SVRider, thanks for the compliment, but I'm still serving because I want to do it. Some of the kids today do it just for the accolades, I think so, anyway.
I had to start my skylight over my shower today, man what a mess. I know I got a job ahead of me tomorrow, and not lookin forward to it.
