Long drive for me so no go... but I have been to Thunder Alley a bit in Beaumont. ProLine had a nice track in Banning too but I am not sure they are open any more. Hemet had a nice track called The Dirt that had some big races. I will have my RCs out in the desert this year... getting them all geared up!

woohoo R/C people - i got bored and just bought a new rc10t4 factory - i bought paddles and a 3.5 to put in there. I think on smooth sand i can get it up to 55-60. I was actually wondering if I could jump the canal... i think its possible. I used to race electric touring twice a week when socal was still around. I have a ton of useless stuff now. Anyone want tire warmers? 20 pairs of sorexs?

ive still got all my rc crap. i messed with nitro for a while and then got back into the electrics, the brushless and lipos that are out now are amazing. even a brushless with a 5000mah nimh battery is fast and long run times.
i still got a couple trophys from the ranch pit shop from back in the day.

I have a pair of X-Ray M18Ts as well. For the Baja fans, yea, the size is cool and so is the ability to run gas but they arent even close to the performance of 1/8 nitro. It's like putting a Pinto up again a Porsche I wouldnt grabbing one if others actually wanted to race with them somewhere but I'd never give up 1/8 nitro buggy.

i loved arc, revalations in montclair, and thunder alley,I just got out of nitro since it sucks when you are practicing alone with no pit guy.I just picked up a kyosho rb5 buggy,it will be brushless/lipo powered and racing superstock class. You be suprised what you can pick up used,i picked up two lipos that were used 5 times just around the corner for 25$ each.here is my new ride If you are into electric there are 3 new indoor tracks, ocrc in orange county, lrh which i think is in placentia, and westcoast rc in lamirada.

Coob, they were a whopping $3 a piece
What do most people seem to have? I love 1/10 buggy and will happily grab another one if there is a lot of interest in this class. I'm not a big fan of LiPO but I'll go with whatever the masses want to run.

You guys have inspired me... I pulled out all my RC stuff. MGT started right up due to proper storing techniques... that thing is a lot more fun than I remember... actually made me second guess wanting to get rid of it for a 5T. The RC10T3 needs a brushless setup and lipo, the GT is setup for a starter box, who's battery is dead, so I can't start that yet. The 18B is hot and running... needs to be converted to a Truggy, just never been a fan of buggy RCs, plus the larger tires will help slow it down. I have the brushless ESC turned down to half just so I don't ram it into everything!
So now, thanks to you guys, I have a list of parts and goodies a mile long... another $500 and I'm good to go!

Ran a few tanks through the car yesterday thanks to Coobie (picked up a couple little parts I needed). There were a few growing pains (um, so maybe I wired up the starter box backwards...). I ran a few more tanks today and started leaning it out; it makes good power. I'm very impressed with the pipe and motor. For the dislikes; the radio range is garbage. I'm not sure if it's the radio or how it's mounted/set up right now. Milieage is suepsect; I'm breaking it so it's running really fat right now but it's only rolling about 6 minutes I recon. Quality of the car is awesome, simple setup and extremely responsive. Losi's have always had gobs of steering and this car didnt disappoint; traction rolled a few times. If you're thinking about getting into this hobby, the Losi 8ight RTR is a pretty good platform to get up and running.

Buggy is good to go for Saturdays race. I picked up a 2000mah LiPO receiver pack today along with a pair of the new Hitec 7950TH servos; .13 sec with 486oz" of torque (at 7.4 volts). They have a milled aluminum body that looks pretty sweet. Added some AKA City Block tires and I have the motor pretty well dialed in. No clue on how my run times are on track; hopefully around 9 minutes but I'm not holding my breath). I wont be able to do anything with suspension until I get there but judging by some of the jumps in the pictures I'm probably too light on the damping (be ok if there are some rough sections).

Yep, A R C. That was practice, they both looked like regulars. Track was really dry and slick. We found that trick years ago racing Speedway Go-Karts. Even worked when the track was wet.
