Well after many years of hard riding, the nikkasil liner in my cylinder is done. I have decided to bore this baby out. I have dropped my parts off at Q&E Machine in Orange. CT Racing didn't seem to have the proper pistons for a bigbore kit but Pro Design(Q&E) does. I am curious if anyone has had anything done by these guys? Also, does anyone here have a bigbore Tecate3 that can give me any set up advice for when I take delivery of this beastie? Thanks in advance......Todd

You would want a bigger carb and after market exhaust to get the best performance, and mayba a longer swingarm

Oh yeah, I already have the DG exhaust....do you think it's possible to run the stock carb and just re-jet????

I have used Q & E for many years and always been happy with them. They do most of the machining for all the local shops that don't have their own.

You can use the stock exhaust, but if ya want the best performance get a biggercarb

A larger carb will give you more airflow which will allow you to run larger main jets which will give you more top end. Not absolutely necessary though.

I doubt you'll need a longer swingarm on that beast. It'll be a better challenge for you.

I think you will need a bigger carb if you want to get the most juice out of it.
I have a 265 Niks cylinder with major porting work. The 36mm was not enough gas, even with bigger jets. Switched to a 38mm and problem solved. Even at 265cc this cylinder performs much better than the previous stock bored to 300cc I had.
I'll be looking for a bigger carb. A PJ38 will do, but if you come across a PWK38 air stryker for a good price, buy it. Big difference.

AFTERMARKET I didn't know yours was a 330. I know it looks badass but didn't realize it was that badass. Now I wanna see it go!

Yeah, anything bigger than 295cc will drain your fuel tank in no time.
I had a 300 before and I was getting about 20 miles per tank (oversized tank).
Even my 265cc feels that way too. It sucks it down quick.
Cool 330R by the way!!

Before I tore the bike down this time it seemed that I could make it to China Wall through the dunes and back to wash 6 as long as I came back out at wash 22 and drove wash road home. I wonder how bad the milage will be now......

Oh it's Ok Dallas.....nice ride you got there. I remember coming to your camp once and seeing it up close. I too want to see that machine run...
