I got to thinking why not mix it up some - make it nice & tasty. So here's what I did and it was DAAAAYUM good.
1 lb hamburger
1 egg
1/2 slice of wheat bread crumbled up
3 cloves of minced garlic
1/4 onion chopped
1/4 grated parmesan cheese
2 T BBQ dry rub - mostly brown sugar, chili, pepper, garlic & onion dry spice or you could use the pre-made BBQ spices
3 T or so of Worcestershire - I just kept adding till I liked the consistency
Mix well. Form in a loaf shape on cookie sheet with sides! The grease drains away and you don't want it spilling over. Then I took bacon and draped it over the loaf.
Bake at 400 for about 45 min. Then take out and slather some BBQ sauce over it all. Bake at 375 for 10-15 min.
Remove and enjoy!
Very tasty with some baked beans and mac & cheese as sides. YUM
