Ok peeps, Sold my motorhome this summer and I am looking for a used WW 5th wheel.
I was initally going to buy a '04 or '05 model. Something in the 35 to 37 foot range. I dont want any payments so these years are in my price range. During my searching, I talked to a couple of different people that told me that starting in 2006 the trailers were built much better. IE - stronger frame, larger holding tanks, 50 amp service, ect.. I want to know if there is any truth to this or is it just the "my trailer is better than his trailer sales pitch" If there is a difference, I rather invest in a '06 or '07 model and have a better trailer. I also noticed that the prices seem to jump up quite a bit between '05 and '06. Please share your input on this. The season is about to start and I need to find a trailer soon...
BTW: anyone selling a trailer like my discriptions, I,m looking to buy...PM me with info

I don't know about stronger but the holding tanks did get bigger. I have 150 gal of fresh and 50 gray, 50 black. I know the insides got nicer. The recliners are way more comfortable than 05 and before. My buddy has an 05 SLC and I have an 06 LE and my inside is much nicer. Even his wife says that. I do have 50 AMP service.

The guy told me that the frame has more supports under the floor because there were issues with the floor sagging on the older models. 150/50/50 is much better that the 75/40/40 my motorhome had. was 50 amp standard?

That could be true on the floor. I know with my 2004 FS3000, after I bought my buggy and started loading it, I had trouble putting the steps down when the buggy was inside. In other words, something was flexing quite a bit with the buggy inside.
My current trailer has not had that issue and I have hauled my buggy in it since I got it new, 4 years now.
50 amp was standard on my trailer, can't remember what my 2004 had in it. I thought it was 30 amp....

Lincster and I have the same trailer pretty much, built I believe on the same run (late 2005)? I have had zero issues with frame or anything for that matter. I just had it into Warrior Lifestyles for upgrades and upkeep, and they said everything look great for a 4 year old trailer. I do think if I was going to buy a used WW, I would ask if the trailer was special ordered or a floor model when bought. Every person I KNOW that special ordered has not had any problems to speak of. Both Linc and special ordered for added length.

What upkeep did you have done? Are the Warrior Lifestyles guys a new crew are are they some of the same guys that actually built these trailers? I actually live not too far from them so I would have them do any necessary repairs. I would like ro really buy from an original owner if possible. Im not really fond of dealers because there is no history on the trailer. seems like there are alot of "auction" trailers out threre.

I had a couple of things done, the biggest thing I had added was the electic double bunks in the back, I originally bought it with the high clearance jeep bed for work purposes, but I no longer use this trailer for work anymore, so I needed the bed and couch now. I also added a Solar Panel, they did 6 new tires for me, redid some electic stuff for me ( I never liked how all 12 volt feeds come off the battery, so now everythng has a panel (bus box) before battery). Resealed the roof, and fix some small cosmetic stuff. They did an outstanding job, everything looks like factory. End of the day, I am not selling in this Market, so putting some money into a 4 year old trailer was worth it for me.
They are old WW employees running the place, and doing the work.

Yes we do. You're right, late 2005 run when they built mine. I think my sticker says Aug 2005. I know I picked mine up in September. I also have had 0 issues with my current trailer. Good point on the special ordered trailers not having issues. I love my trailer... just wish I would have gotten +6 instead of +4......

No issues here either... Late 2005, right after Linc if I remember right. First run was NYE. Literally picked it up from HI, took it home, loaded it, went to G, never looked back.

My trailer is at Warrior Lifestyles right now getting a few things done. One thing you should know about buying used is that any Warrior trailer, but especially the triple axle ones, will need frame reinforcements unless the previous owner already had it done. The walls will sag down due to the frame outriggers not being strong enough to hold up the walls over time. To fix this they weld supports in between each axle (2 on each side) and add some other bracing to the outriggers. It's not too big of a deal but plan on this cost and time to get this done. If you don't your wheels will rub on the inside of the wheel well and the inside wheel well may come completely off as the floor sags at the edges. I've looked at a lot of used Warriors and they all have the problem to some extent if not reinforced. Speak to Jim at Warrior Lifestyles if you need to for more info, he's a good guy and knows what he is talking about with these trailers.

Jim is the service manager I beleive. The walls in any toyhauler are under a lot of stress as there are few interior walls to help hold up the roof. Over time, the floor can bow at the edges under the weight of the roof as the frame itself is serveral inches in from the walls. The frame spars have to support the weight, but they are 1/16" steel at best. Like I said on the triple axle models, there are NO supports accross the whole axle span, maybe 6 feet or so? That is the first place the problem starts. The walls sag there and the inner wheel wells are bowed out until they start rubbing your tires. The 07's up may have had the supports at the factory, not sure about it. I know the earlier models don't. I looked at a lot of warriors and all my friends have them. Feel up behind the tires see how close the tire is to the inner wheel well, you'll see ones that have rubbed or are about to. That's the first clue. You can also look close at the floor in the interior, sometimes you can see it starting to drop on the last 6 inches from the wall. The first set of rear supports right behind the last axle is the first to go, they crack first so look for that. I know if you don't have the supports, you want to get them. Once they are in, I've not seen or heard of any problems.
It sounds like a scary problem but it can be fixed/prevented, so don't let it scare you away from a warrior. Just be aware of it and something you need to plan on budgeting for. If the trailer has low use/miles you might not see any of these issues, but probably should still get the reinforcement done as a preventative measure.

Yep they jack up the walls before they weld them in. Not hard to put in the wheel well supports. They do other supports but if you just want to do the wheel wells it isn't too bad. They sell the supports that are pre-made pretty cheap, that is the best way to go and it's a lot easier than fabbing something yourself. Be careful trying to jack up the wall, use a section of 4x4 to spread the load.

Went and looked at 2 Warriors today. A SLC3905 and a LE3505. Inspected both frames for bending. Everything looked straight on both. I could see it would be very time consuming to repair/replace most or all the frame supports.
