I have 4 Trojan 6 v Batery's in the Moho and they are about 4-5 years old
Which Im told I got pretty good life out of them. Im thinking of replacing them with new
one's -

Any Recomendations on a better battery ? or better set up?
I just added some solar panels too.

Trojans are about $150 ea I think

Any hook ups ?

Sams club 6v's are about half that. No issues so far.

Are you having issues? Trojans are pretty much the best you can buy...

If you feel you must replace them, which Trojans are they and how much room and $$$ do you have? I put T145s in- they are a little taller than the T105 ( I think thats the number) and more A/ H. If I had more $$$, I would have done 4 L16s. Twice the height and about 420 A/H if I remember right... Many peeps have used the Sams Club/ Costco batts and are happy with them.

Battery Systems was the best price on Trojans I found...

Few issues , they seem not to hold a charge as long .
I just changed my two Starting batteries with new ones cause those were toast .
One reason is I store in Glamis all season so I dont get to plug in .
I use to watch TV all night ,run the Micro , all without the generator on ,and
would have lots of juice left , now it seems to loose charge faster .

Its ok to run larger batteries? no invertor issues for more amps?

You might not have a full charge on them to begin with if its just sitting at G...

No inverter issues with bigger batts- you get to run the inverter longer, but you might want to go larger on the converter so they charge faster on the gen or plugged in.

we got Trojan "Blems"... about 75.00 a piece... work awsome!! memo knows where to find them... basicly they put the sticker on wrong, or something legible... but the battery itself is perfect!!

Also sending you a PM!! icon_wink.gif

On your 6 volts that you have now how long can you dry camp without charge the batts. what wattage is your solar panel also.
i would like to tailor how you dry camp to the batts. their are AGM's that would give more 90 amp hrs per batt more,
trojens have 105 amp hours, and agm's have 190 amp hours, let me know i will tailor a battery set up for you.

I know you're a battery guy and all but I believe the Trojan T-105's have a 225 amp hour rating.
