I was driving by this the other day on my way from Ridgrest to Lancaster on the 14. Is it any good for Rhinos, Dirtbikes etc...? How does it compare to Ocotillo? Is there good flat areas to park the moho? It looks cool from the freeway. mindy.gif

It is a cool area to camp but its a state park the rideing is very resrected. And kinna pricey to.
You can camp north at Dove Springs or south at Jawbone for free and ride through Red rock on the marked trails.
The whole area has tons of great rideing, lots of good destination rides to mines, jawbone store up to the cabin at 7000 ft.

what he said. ^

and btw.... it's friggin cold up there. have been 4-5 times and was snowed on 2 of those times.

its very hard to not go off on unauthorized trails. ph34r.gif

Camp at Dove Springs or Jawbone, dump at Red Rock. Stop by the ranger station there for an area map, or pick one up at the Jawbone store, lots of great riding out there.

Jaw Bone and Dove springs ?? man that would really suck (_|_). I lived for the high desert riding before I moved to San Diego. Red rock canyon has sucked (_|_) for close to 20 years. We used to camp there when we were little and rode Go Cat mini bikes. Red rock has one trail and a sand wash open from what I can remember. If you camp in Dove springs ask around on how to get to Mcgievers cabin, now that is a bad (_|_) desert ride with hill climbs and miles of single track threw the woods. Any of you Old timers remember Bonks Bad Habit Den beer.gif before it burnt to the ground, those were the days.

Red Rock for sure, I dont know if the others are on the list
