Damn, I set my camera down to buy a dzus fastener tool and walked away from the table, turned back around and asked the sales lady at the booth and she said she never saw it. It had about 150 pictures of everything in the show. I thought I was having a terrible day. You Beat me!!! sorry to hear that.

That really sucks!
As we were walking back to the truck, LS1Family found a wallet and a bunch of credit cards scattered behind a truck. All the cash was gone (of course) no phone # in the wallet. Luckily, a popo just happened to drive by so we flagged him down...

It sounds like there was a lot of thievery at the show this year.
I have heard of at least 4 incidents so far, plus this loss, maybe it was pilfered from an open bag as well?

Did he set them down or ??? That is a huge bummer! Sad sign of the times I guess, few years back it was all real duners there and this stuff did not happen.

Don't forget to have him tell the BLM they were stolen! They say to report them if yours gets lost or stolen...

Sep 20 2009, 03:04 PM
We think he put the passes in the SSSS magazine and they slipped out of it at some point

That sucks to hear about the other problems, didn't someone's tailgate get stolen last year?

It also helps when you report them lost or stolen if you have the pass #'s from them. I already recorded ours for safety sake. Its a shame we have to go to these lenghts.

I sold passes at the ASA booth all weekend. Every time I saw some one put them in the mag I offered them a bag. Last year 2 or 3 people lost their passes from putting them in the mag. Also suggest that you make a copy of the front and back for your records in case something happens in the dunes.

Try Cycle Parts West (I think that's what it was called). I was in line buying a toy for my daughter and a woman in front of me picked 3 passes up off the floor and put them on the counter. Might be a long shot but give them a call. Good luck.

Here's the update. THE PASSES HAVE BEEN LOCATED!!!!
Special thanks to mc designer for the tip

The guy @ the Cycle Parts West booth put the passes under the counter thinking the customer would return. When that didn't happen he brought the passes back to the store. Luckily he was working today when my buddy (97 Banshees) called and gave him the # to the person he turned the passes over to. Bottom line the passes are being mailed to the dumb arse

who lost them.
Couldn't have asked for a better ending.

Awesome. Glad your bro got them back and props to MC for the lead.
BTW, IMO Cycle Parts West has always been a stand up business. They seem to be the only ones giving real, legit, show discounts every year...everyone else talks the talk, but they walk the walk.

that is such a cool thing, I have bought a few dollars worth of stuff from CPW, but since I live out in the boonies I normally just order it online. When I go shopping for stuff for the upcoming season I will be sure to drive the 50 miles (one way) to support them.
