I'ld like to install an LCD flat screen in the area of my TV area. I was thinking of removing the TV carosoul and mounting a retractable mount. I have a CR3905. Anyone have pic's, I'm asuming I'm going to have to reinforce it as the TV cabinet is not very sturdy. I'm also looking at putting a converter in so I can watch TV without using the geni; however I know nothing about them. Are they easy to install, or do I need to get it installed. I have 2 12v batteries and was planning on going to 2 6 V batteries, would this be enough to run a TV for a few hours. Is there anyone on here that can do everything. 1. Fab area in front for maybe 4 batteries if needed, 2. converter, and 3 install LCD's. Any info would be great.

thanks

I took mine out and in its place bolted in a 2x6 to mount my swing out flat screen mount that locks in when not in use . I will try to down load some pictures for you. The flat screen turns in the cabinet or can come completely out of the cabinet to face to the rear . I think I got a 26 inch flat screen to fit. Works pretty good. I got the mount from jalpers (?) post toy hauler mods.

Here you go. Not my set-up but I have bought the mount and 32" LCD TV. I just need to remove the WW stuff.

That sounds exactly what I'm looking to do, pic's would be great. The CR3905 has a cabinet under the TV area, where did you mount the 2x6. Thanks for the info, please post pics

Here are couple pics of how I did mine in my CR3905. I used a 2x6 and I put part of the original cabinet on the 2x6. You can see the brackets I used in the pics. I got the brackets at home depot.

I did the same thing as sandrhino .But i srewed the 2x6 in the cabinet from the top and bottom and painted it gloss black to match the inside of my cabinet. Used the screws from my old carosoul i removed on the bottom. My bracket that holds my tv is bigger and use the full 5 and half inches of the 2x6. I got the bracket from RBWINDUSTRIES.com my tv need the 100 mm x 200 mm bracket a little differnt then the the one pictured ,but it looks like it came from the same place.

Any pics? So you just made the 2x6 shiny and bolted using existing bolts and screws from carosoul. What size tv, it looks like you can only fit a 26" inside the tv opening.

thanks

Yes I think its a 26 I went to best buy with a tape and measured all of the tv s, some have a bigger frame. My trailer is on the mountain, so i cannot get pictures. I will be up there friday. I will take a few if its not to late.

Thanks that would be great, and sounds easy enough to use the existing holes and bolt to secure the 2x6.

This is how I did mine in my SLC3905. Just used some 5/8's plywood with some trim pieces to sandwich the plywood. I just need to stain it and it will look perfect. The wire going up thru the cabinet runs over to the stereo for better sound.

Great ideas. I was gonna hold off on this project but when we got the trailer a couple of weeks ago, I turned on the tv to test it and the volume wouldnt go up or down. Just full volume. This post came at a good time.

I'm right in the middle of doing the same thing in my new to me WW trailer. Already have all the materials, just need to finalize the design. I will post some pics as I get further along.
