Here is the question
I just moved here and the state I came from doesnt require registration Cali does, as well I didnt pay the sales tax because i did not have to register it I called the DMV and asked what I was required to pay and the tax that I will have to back pay and she said I wouldnt and it would be only fifty dollars is this correct? and if I have to pay the taxes what it the percent?
Now I see how people can get tickets when they try to do the right thing and the dumb (l) at the dmv is confusing as hell. I also called the sherrif and they said go to the dmv NO SHT i need to know what I have to do to be legal and I cant get a straight answer

Shouldn't have to pay any taxes. Just make sure you take any and all paper work you have on the ohv., such as bill of sale or title, whatever. DMV can be a pain in the butt and you don't want to make multiple trips there if you don't have to. I recommend making an appointment, so you can get in and out faster.

What charred1 said..

the dmv has a web site:
http://www.dmv.ca.gov with a lot of publications you can read. Definitely make an appointment, unless you have 1/2 a day to waste sitting in their crowded waiting area. You can do that on the web site too. Welcome to the peoples republik, it won't be getting any better soon...
