So WhatHurts calls me the other day and is askin me bout his trailer wheel bearings. He says he is gonna pull em and repack em, and just wanted some tips on it!

We start talkin about what we are doing to get our trailers ready for G this winter, and here are some of the things we discussed.

Checking all the bolts on your hitch along with the torque on the ball.

Service the generator.

Checking the trailer wheel bearings.

Checking and lubing the zerk fittings on the spring shackels.

Checking the hitch clamp on the trailer.

Checking the batteries and cables.

Checking all the rubber propane hoses for cracks/leaks.

Checking all the exterior lighting.

I'm sure there are a ton of other things too, so what do you guys have on your lists???

And for cracks inside and out too! Check the date codes as well. They only last so many years!!

Four to five years max. The tread will be great, but the side walls will be cracked. On one of the trips with outside temps in the 80's + the tread will just seperate from the side walls.

DAMHIK....lol.

Same goes for the tow vehicle/motor home.

As for getting ready, first trip is this next weekend. Can't wait.
