I'll be camping in center field at Gordons, was wondering if any of you were going to be around Halloween weekend, maybe we can all get a nice group together and ride out to Glamis for the afternoon to watch,maybe stop by the pound and feed the animals through the fence...
Throw some ideas around in this thread and see what we can come up with.

On a more serious note. I imagine once we get there people will find others, get sidetracked, etcc.. Make sure you have a person lined up to ride back with.
I plan on staying at Gecko, then go straight back the way we came.
I also believe in the interest of all, we should train on out by way of sand hwy..

Have they sent out the exact location for the HP wars yet ? If so could some one please PM me it ?

I'll be in Gordons... I'll ask around if anyone else in my camp wants to go too.

I've got 3 others. 2 rails and a quad guy, so I imagine the ride there will be pretty chill.

We'll go slow,fast,take the road, take the dunes, whatever everyone feels comfortable with..
Leave Gordons around 10-11 come back around 3-4..

We ran up to Glamis this past weekend from GW. It was a smooth ride! Not sure if we will do it again for Halloween...

Yeah, that was us. Sorry, didn't know you guys were there and since Tom is against radio communication we didn't know to stop. Next time for sure!

Scott, you sell intercoms and radio's don't you? Hook Tom up, I'm tired of losing his a ss in the dunes. LOL

No problem...... I know the feeling. We finally convinced Old School Ed to buy radios and intercom. He bought them last season and they sat on his pool table. They have now made it into his hauler. We joke that we can sit in his warrior and talk with each other.........

I need some radios. Right after I win the lottery...........

Me and two other cars in my group would be down for that depending on where we camp. I am meeting up with pound sand that weekend, so depending on if my buds want to camp at G or at Ogilby we would make that run with you. I will keep you posted as to where we are going to camp.

If my car is done by then we'll be in. I have two other rails in my group as well. We usually camp in the flats at Gordon's about 45 degrees out from the entrance towards the dunes...

If your on a quad and you take sand highway, do you fill up at the Glamis Beach Store or do you have enough to make it back?

Are you going to visit us this year or did we scare you guys away? I was talking about about how we met you guys and camp watched your toys for you overnight. That was a lucky spot to get stuck in huh?

My group might be in on this, not sure where we're going to camp yet but it will be in the south dunes. When/where we meeting?

I'm thinking we should meet at the Gordons drags or maybe sand highway at center field at Gordons. around 11am.
We will be camping in the far corner at Gordons. When you first come in if you think of Gordons as a baseball field, we will be at left-center field up against the dunes.
Anybody have any other suggestions, ideas?
As far as place and time for the "show and shine", it's kind of on the down-low... Will find out all specifics later this week.

We have made the trip several times and what always amazes me, is the gas mileage that we get. I guess it's because it's a straight shot and that your pretty much "on it" the whole way. Not much stopping and starting.

Our quads (KFX450), normally get really bad gas milage and the tanks are pretty small. However, we make it with extra to run around on, then we top off at the beach store for the ride home.

Be prepared to wait in a long line and pay around $6.00 a gallon at the Beach Store. I have heard that at times they don't have gas. I would imagine that they would have plenty for the big weekend.


My son and I would like to go again this year but it would be nice and safer to go with a group. The only concern I have is keeping up with rails on the straight shot (sand highway).

Any other quad/side by side groups going on the trip?

I did gordons to glamis once in my samurai. we drove right next to the canal white knuckled 5th gear (like 40 mph) but the sumbitsh kept bucking and I swore we were gonna end up in the canal. I would recommend not taking canal road. really boring, except when youre in a samurai! but it was cool to at least say I did it once!

Ok I am in. It will be me my buddy Mark that just picked ups his SCU at the sand show and a buddy names Joel a total of 3 cars. We are camping at Ogilby so we will meet you guys either the starting point or at the entrance of Patton valley. Ill keep an eye open to where you are meeting.

There's no way my car will be done for next weekend, but I'd love to make this trip this season... please post up some details when you get back... how long it took, how much gas you used, etc.
