I was given some tickets to a NHRA nationals for the VIP suites. The tickets where from Waterman Racing . The make fuel pumps and such. 75% of the top fuels and funny cars run them. The specs where crazy .

The Bertha pump could deliever 115 GPM and like almost 600 PSI

I need one of those on my WW Trailer....

Watching the fuel pump demo makes me want an orange juilius.

i was at the nhra museum today. this display is still there. its really neat to see it in person. gives you a great view of how much fuel is being dumped into one cylinder of a top fuel car during full throttle acceleration. this is only 3 nozzles in this display. 2 port nozzles (they squirt fuel into the cylinder onto the back side of the intake valve) and 1 intake nozzle.

yeah this is just one cylinder in the display, multiply it times 8 and thats a doogieload of fuel

Cool video of a warm up. Time trials are coming in a few weeks. I enjoy this almost more that the national event because no one is there, it is cheaper to go, and you have so much access to the teams and drivers. We brought home 3 used still in one piece blower belts a few years ago.

I read somewhere that the space shuttle fuel pump can empty a swimming pool in 25 seconds!!!!
